Mine states following in the settings:

About This Unit
Model: LN430
U Disk Capacity: 3.27GB
U Disk Available Capacity 159MB (Deleted the music video etc)

To be honest the Version Number is just off screen but I assume it is 3.12 (Could be 3.17 but doubt it)

Hope it helps

Thanks
ace

EDIT: Could this be a fake / clone as It cost ?37 from ebay about 2 months ago (arrived yesterday) I am pretty sure that fake / clone A230's hit the market....

Mh no, this is just your stock firmware version. I don't have an RS-97 yet, but I assume that this is the only possibility.
If you want to know which hardware version you have see the guide in the first post :)

"First of all you need to know which RS-97 version you own. Don't worry, it's extremely easy! To accomplish this you only need to remove the battery cover and then the battery of your device, at this point you will see (written on the PCB) something like "RETRO-GAME-V*.*" followed by a date, like this example photo."

i found the lcd replacement if your RS-97 LCD is broken. the LCD is quite expensive anyway. the one who make this LCD is called AUO manufacture.

- The GCW Zero has a crap d-pad

If the d-pad was good the GCW Zero would be awesome.
Is the RS-97 d pad better?

Well, standard RS-97's D pad is not so good either...

But is it as mushy as the gcw zero? That is the worst d-pad ever!

No, at all. Hardware-wise the Retromini is inferior.

Where could I get 3 inch LCD screens? I have tried looking for 3 inch 320x240 screens and they only come up with 3.2 and 3.5 inch screens. What would be compatible with the RS-97?
Handheld Collection:

PocketC.H.I.P.
GPD WIN 1
RS-97

Btw, hydra kinda works on the RS-97, except that it crashes after you go to the next screen.
I couldn't debug this so i will get around that later.
And you don't open the makefile, you invoke it by typing make and compiling it.

Hi guys, first of all i would like to thanks all the wonderful human beings that put togheter this topic, because it is complete, full of useful information and filled with love <3

That said, I've just bought a RS-97 device that is labelled as "RETROGAME 3000 in 1". I went for the "internal" mod and found that my device is 1.0S... I did not get what version of Useless should have been installed so i tried. I flashed a sd card with 1.0S as stated here https://boards.dingoonity.org/ingenic-jz4760-devices/uselessrs97-internal-firmware-for-revision-2-1/ and tried the first link "Revision 1.0, 2.0 and 1.0S (with 2.0 LCD screen)" and then "Revision 1.0S (with new LCD panel, use that one if you get a black screen)" because i was getting a black screen.

Everything seems to work fine, except for USB mount (no device can be seen on my windows laptop, nor in "My Computer" nor in "Disk Management" even after a refresh) and with GBA emulation: gpsp work with a bios installed but lacks of useful features; ReGBA should use same bios but goes black just after my legally owned and dumped ROM has loaded.

What can i do to fix these two unpleasent issues?
Did I identify correctly my device?

Thank you all!

P.S.:hope to have posted in the right section, otherwise i beg you pardon!
