So, I want to discuss this shitty company and all the shit we have dealt with from them since they first "graced" our presence...
I recently spent $150 in parts, buying direct from GPD and I asked them MANY TIMES, MANY MANY TIMES... Please check and make sure the LCD screen is NOT DEFECTIVE... No dead pixels, no graphic issues with display driver...
Did they check? NOPE... They did not... They sent shit and they could care less... They also lied and said they would replace the ribbon cable their fucking tape ripped apart from my old LCD... NOPE... They lie and said they sent it... I checked all in box... All over... They fucking lied... I am sick of them and want to ruin them.
I could care less if they sent me a free unit now... The GPD Win2 is SHIT... The company is SHIT...
I wasted so many weeks and hours... 37 times I have taken that damn thing apart and rebuilt it... Let me tell you... After having tons of parts... I KNOW... The first case and unit I bought was an early batch with misshaped buttons and brittle cheap plastic molding... The new parts never broke on me once during repairs and replacements. I fixed some bad soldering and replaced all the parts they were shit... The last owner merely tried to fix the SHITTY hardware in this unit and I see why he gave up now... I have the unit almost perfect... ASIDE FROM THE FACT THEY SENT ME A DEFECTIVE LCD SCREEN! FUCK THEM!
They are a shit company... No consistency. I tried to be nice and spoke with a Mr. Yang... He did not check my shit and could care less about my issues... He blames me for breaking my initial the LCD screen?! NEWS FLASH! I DID NOT PUT THE DESTRUCTIVE FUCKING YELLOW TAPE ON THE RIBBON CONNECTOR! removing that tape RIPS apart all the pins and guts on the LCD connector and the ribbon cable!
FUCK... THEM... SO... FAR... INTO... HELL...
WHY ADD THAT TAPE TO THE CONSUMER MODELS?!?! THE PROTOS DID NOT HAVE IT!!!! THEY WANT IT TO BREAK!!! THEY WANT YOU TO RELY ON THEM AND PAY FOR PARTS AND REPAIR THAT WAY!
