The major improvement is that it increases the response pressing speed of the Gamepad.

According to my homemade xinput testing tool the polling rate is fixed now! I now get the same results as with an xbone controller (7-8 ms minimum pressing time).

This was a nice late Christmas present, thanks a lot wlin7730 ;)

Thanks for the update GPD.

Still waiting for the horizontal scrolling support and a driver version that offers mouse acceleration to be disabled, but this is a good start.   :)
If your reading this, than you have reached the bottom of the post.

What about the left shoulder click while using the D-pad? Does it work now?

I hope this fixes Slime Rancher.
That game has problems recognizing third party Xinput controllers but works fine with the original Xbox 360 Gamepad.
Its actually a perfect handheld game!

How is the mouse behavior with this update? Is it accelerated, original or something else?

The mouse behavior is better with this version I think, the sudden acceleration is gone, there's a slight bit but only when really moving the nub far. As for the shoulder buttons issue, I'm not sure if that was fixed or not.

Unfortunately this problem is not fixed in the update...i just tried it.

But other than that this update is a lot better than the last one. Game controls became way more reponsive and the mouse control feels a lot better as well.

Thanks GPD, keep up the good work!

Wow, this is a really noticeable improvement on my end. Thank you to all that worked on this over at GPD. Was really worried this was just going to get swept under the rug, so thanks for making this device much more usable for me. =D

Also spoke to the game developers.
They don't care if the game doesn't work with certain third party controllers as long as the original Microsoft controllers work.

In other words, thet dont know how to actually fix the code they probably wedged into their game, but wont admit their incompetence.
(You could possibly get around it by using something like joy2key and manually redirecting the controls)

Oh well, plenty of other games work great. The improved controller response is indeed very noticeable now.
(If they could fix the sleep problem and the memory managekent bluescreens then the GPD Win would be perfect to me  ;D)
