My keyboard has stopped working.
This is happening in Windows and in the BIOS.

The issue with the fan only working on the middle setting is also occurring.

This problem is the same as a number of other buyers have had.
Can you please tell me how to get it replaced?

Thank you.

The viewing angle of the screen is really messed up. It's quite a bit off to the left. I think this screen is defective. Looking at shadows in any game gives me a headache as a result.

Edit: Wow, every game looks worse. This is absolutely unacceptable. Guess I'll be asking for a refund.

Edit 2: Here's what it looks like from the left which is apparently optimal viewing and from the front...where I can't see anything. https://imgur.com/a/BUVpB

Weird, someone else had that same issue.

I bought it from Gearbest and I've written to them asking for an exchange. I really want to have a GPD Win but I can't keep this one. I hope they can resolve the issue.

Edit: OMG, I'm reading the other posts in this thread...I'm so screwed.

Anybody able to translate this for me?

"Can be set in the set - auxiliary function - visual - color adjustment inside the adaptive adjustment.

If you do not have this setting to see if you are in the "Settings - Accessibility" option, find the "Display" item, which has a color reversal and color correction function, you can try

Restore factory settings to see if the display shows normal"

Edit: Nvm, the first option is in power settings and it didn't help. The next thing they appear to be asking is to adjust the color settings graphics options.

I guess viewing angles can have a "reversed" effect if any of your RGB values are out of balance-- in such a situation, you see the correct colour when you view from a smaller angle instead of when you are right in front of the screen. I've posted in your other thread too and you should probably check your colour settings, drivers etc and try out some other applications to get a better estimate of the problem.

EDIT:
Saw your previous posts and it seems that you have this problem with all games? Do you get wonky colours in desktop and your web browser also? If yes, then it may sadly be a HW problem but you should definitely try out other drivers and also make sure that your RGB values are balanced in the windows display settings-- I don't recall exactly where these settings can be enabled from or found but a quick Google search should point you in the right directoin. Hope you can fix it..

I am having a problem with just my keyboard.  My 3-0 keys no longer function (they used to).  I was a indiegogo backer with my wife (we bought 2) and I have been very happy with it overall, except for this.

I am quite capable of opening the device up, so if I can just get the part I would be fine with that.  With that I wouldn't mind updating some of the parts (the gamepad membrane, shell case to metal) if possible, though not strictly required.

Please let me know what I should do for the next steps.

Thanks!

@fidelis1

Just so you & anyone else interested know... I was notified last month that Kendy has left the company (GPD). Alice Ji is the new rep that you would want to reach out to about anything WIN related from now on.

Awww Kendy was awesome.

what the hel is eaG_Gle?

why not just use gpd or microsoft's official image instead?

probably you haven't installed the accellerometer/gyro sensor driver for it

or probably display driver?

But still usiing third party, hacked windows is never a good idea in the first place.

i used TinyXP iso back then. Probably couple of softwares in it feels blazing fast. But later on it started to complain about missing this and missing that and it causes more trouble afterwards instead of helping my productivity or gaming experience.

How much time is required for the first boot? I've just turned on my GPD Win for the first time, and it has a GPD logo with spinning dots for several hours. Is this normal?

Nope, not normal. Shut it off and turn it back on.

Using the eaG_Gle image is fine, it's on the GPD Wiki with all changes included: https://www.reddit.com//r/gpdwin/wiki/index

What you might try doing about that screen rotation is going into Intel's graphics properties (right click on desktop) and rotate the screen. You may have to input a custom resolution too - 720x1280. And that isn't a typo, the screen height and width are reversed on the Wins.

Hello all, I am unable to properly charge and power on my device. After some research it seems to be a common case of an poorly calibrated battery that discharged a bit too much. I am getting only a flashing Purple/blue light when I power on or try to charge the device. Is there any way to wake the battery from the zombie state it is currently in? I've already tried to let it charge for 3+ hours with no results, hold the power button a bit longer, etc.

I only get that when I unplug the Battery and just have the Power Adapter Connected. Meaning the Battery is possibly not being detected, or is shot.

A dead battery is certainly a possibility I considered. The thing is I have left the device "on" for the last 2-3 days in order to completely discharge and the flashing light has never stopped working. I find it hard to believe that the device has a separate power source for such a small component.

Thinking a Device like this probably needs a little more Power in order to run everything properly.

Update from my previous posts: Thankfully the battery wasn't dead and I managed to "wake it up" after fist letting it completely discharge (currently sitting at 50% battery charge and going up). Hopefully GPD will address the issue in the upcoming second generation model.

Anyone else having an issue with their main keyboard not working? I left it charging for the day (turned off) and when I came back to it, it had gotten quite got so I took it off the charger and it was at around 80% charge but the main keyboard wasn't working at all. The sticks, rb/lb, power buttons etc all work fine, but just the main keyboard doesn't work at all. Any help here? Tried to turn it back on after a few days and still no luck.

My touch screen is now completely unresponsive. As in, I touch the screen now, and nothing happens. Using the analog stick for the mouse is fine, but I want to have the touchscreen fixed, but I don't know if it's a hardware or a software issue. I would note that sometimes, in the past, that the touchscreen would not work, but would function again after turning it off.

Are there any drivers I can use to help with this?
