I am almost incapable of playing any 3d games with constant and frequent graphics driver crashes leading to graphics artifacts and windows blocking whatever application running from accessing the graphics hardware.

This isn't just one or two games but pretty much most I've tried ranging from indie games that don't tax the hardware, to old games like jedi knight jedi academy to games such as crysis.
I've even had others test games that crash constantly on my Win and they play them fine on theirs so its not a issue across the board with all the Win's but just mine.
The graphics driver has even, on rare occasions crashed after hitting the windows key and opening the menu along with crashing while viewing 3d images in the browser that my bay trail tablet can handle.
I've updated the graphics drivers, uninstalled the graphics driver, reinstalled drivers, installed old drivers, updated the BIOS, changed settings in the BIOS, ran Windows updates and meanwhile I still can't play games other Indiegogo backers have been successfully playing right out of the box with no updates or issues.

The "t" "y" and "g" key do not register with any amount of force as well as the q and w keys being mislabeled. This pretty much means this machine is useless as is and needs to be replaced.

Hi Kendy,

I am not happy, here is my problem

I just received mine, put it on charge for an hour,  and then tried it,  it doesn't even turn on.
WTF! I am so PISSED!

When its on charge the LED is a purple color. When I press the power button nothing happens. If I press and hold the power button the LED will blink and then remain on, still a purple color.

When I take the power adapter out, the LED remains on, purple color.  When I press the power button nothing happens.  When I press and hold the power button the LED goes out.  When I press the power button again nothing happens no LED or nothing.

So what now?  Is there a diag mode I can try boot the device into?  So far its dead.

Mine also came with a big scratch on the bottom cover, but thats the least of my problems

I got a question.
My unit seems to works ok, but I notice that when I put it in sleep mode sometimes the device resets itself.
In other words I put it to sleep and then when I push the power button to wake it up sometimes it has to reboot into windows again. The GPD boot logo comes up and I have to log back in.

Looking into the event viewer I get a ton of reports of Event 41 kernel power (63) errors.

Apart from that the device works fine, And when I'm using it I can play on it for hours with no issues. Under full load it usually reaches about 75-80 degrees max temperature. Usually 75.
Mine was one of the last units ordered from Geekbuyings last batch of that helps.

Thanks for reaching out to us. The problem with my device is that whenever I try to play 3d games the entire device will shut down after 2-5 minutes of play. I've tried a couple of different drives (those shipped with the device and some downloaded directly from intel). I've also tried installing the anniversarry edition of windows, but the problem persists.

Not sure what the link protocol is here but this youtube video demonstrates the issue perfectly - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cjkMApVrUws

Try the driver patch Kendy just provided in the post before yours, see if it works.  Not sure if it needs to be applied to the original driver or it is the driver in total.

Finally received my GPD Win. It booted up fine first time. Got it setup. On second boot I hit the ESC key which took it to the bios. I didn't change anything and exited. It shutdown. Now when I power it on I get a blue light that blinks for a second and then nothing happens and device doesn't power on.

What do I do? Need help please!  :'(

Hi Kendy,

My Win currently switches itself off when attempting to play 3D games. I've tried quite a few different titles, and they all freeze after a couple of seconds, with the Win completely shutting down. These are games that other Win users have reported working sucessfully. It's totally fine with 2D games so far.

I'll try the driver update tonight and see it it makes any difference.

It may out of power. Please try to charge it to see does the LED show the red light or not.
If the led is red when charging,it means your devices is okay, just charge a few hour, your devices can restart.

Hello, same problems as retrovortex, the machine crashes on sleep mode and the logs show error event 41 (kernel power), and only turns on again after 8 seconds with the power button for a full reboot.

I've updated the video drivers and windows updates.

Just a heads up, I've been having the same problem as you and the patch did not resolve the issue on my end. I would still give it a shot, but I wouldn't rely on it fixing the problem.

This is the problem of chip.but it should be a very few devices have this problem. And we can't solve this problem thorough...
Is it sometimes or all the times that devices restart when come into sleep mode?
