The great "junk games" thread

I make this thread because right now I feel stupid. In past few days i have had one driver crash in burnout paradise (in about an hour, game recovered), 3 in some ~2.5 hours of killer is dead, and absolutely none in blazblue, vulkaiser, or ~4 hours of quake 4. Or anywhere outside of a game.

So, in other words: everything ran great but killer is dead which sometimes crashes after ~ 45 minutes. But strangely the first 4missions ran flawlessly, and the 3 crashes happened within 5 minutes of each other after it had already been working fine for an hour.

I just got the brilliant idea of checking if maybe the game was just junk, instead of thinking it must be my win.

So I thought maybe here we could make a thread of games which we know are in general just crashing trash, so next time someone has a game whcih crashes every so often, we know whether it is our win, or the game.

As for burnout paradise, the internet is full of people for which it crashes on startup, or randomly freezes, so that doesn't seem rocksolid either. but so far I am loving the hell out of that game onmy WIN with only one short freeze.

Games that run great on my WIN so far (and thus should also work on other WINS without issue, can be used to check your WIN for problems as mine is 100% stock, done NOTHING to it):

- Quake 4: played for ~ 4 hours no crashes at all. Runs nicely in ultra 800x600.  use xpadder for xinput mode.

- blazblue BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Extend: played ~1 hour probably? No crashes , never goes below 60fps in 720p but turn of antialiasing or it will lag. Looks great, plays great, sees xinput controls out of box.

- burnout paradise: had one driver crash (only short freeze) in total of ~ 1 hour otherwise runs very nicely maxed out in 720p. Also works with xinput mode out of box.

- Supercharged Robot VULKAISER works perfectly, awesome indie game 80s' mecha anime style. So much fun. Works like a dream. use xinput mode.

I am going to extensively (2-3 hours at least each in one sitting) test skyrim and aquanox 2 tomorrow. Will add results to the list; I haven't seen aquanox 2 tested yet.

BTW, if quake 4, skyrim, dolphin, AND aquanox 2 have no crashes on my WIn and burnout virtually none, and killer is dead 4 in <3 hours, I will conclude my WIN is fine and killer is dead is a shit ps3 port, lol.
