Yeah mate, the GPD Win 2 is essentially a PC/laptop, so just treat it like one and do everything you would normally do on a PC.
Nintendo Switch w/ipega PG-9083

SONY PS3 Super Slim
SONY PS4 Slim
SONY PS4 Pro

ALLDOCUBE Mix Plus w/ ipega PG-9023

Apple iPad pro 2019 w/Gamevice (pending)

Hi! Im new.

I have a GPD Win 2, and i don't understand how works all of the emulator stuff.

I need to download and install it as a normal PC? I suppose that this OP links are the best, yep?

thanks1

If you want several emulators in only one software, then install retroarch. If you want to chose the best soft for each platform, then use the list.

Retroarch has all the cores updated, but there are no bios in the cores must be donwloaded. Maybe is a bit more complicated to adjust, but you have all-in-one.

Hi again. I'm trying to run Gamecube with Dolphin, but Twillight Princess runs under 27fps (and dropping) and Metroid Prime isn't balanced in terms of framerate.

What im doing wrong?

PS2 emu runs well!

For gamecube just use regular dolphin. It's better than the dolphin core in Retroarch

Wouldn't hurt to try asking, on the subject of Dolphin.

I'm trying to emulate Metroid Prime (U), and it will consistently crash and quit unexpectedly when starting a new game. Straight after the opening message about the distress signal.
This is on 5.0-8490 and has also affected a number of builds before it.
I'd tried changing a lot of settings and the only thing that seems to help is changing the backend from D3D11 to OpenGL, which is not preferable at all.
I've tried updating the Intel HD 615 graphics drivers recently and that did actually resolve a slowdown issue I had in a different game I was emulating, but not the hanging issue.

Does anyone else experience this sudden application quit issue when emulating Metroid Prime (U)? I'm also running a widescreen patched version, but either one experiences the issue.

Only metroid prime, or other games like Mario kart Wii too?

I've not played too many games on Dolphin yet, but so far just Metroid Prime.
I'll test other games at some point to see how far they can be played though.

If you can confirm game like Mario kart Wii  does it too then it is a problem with the savestate, Dolphin can't create a new file.

I just logged my Mario Kart Wii dump onto my GPD Win 2 and yes, it does the same thing.
Immediately after trying to create the new save file, it suddenly quits Dolphin.

Is this something like Dolphin can't properly access storage on my device?
Emulator savestates don't cause this issue in any case.

These crashes occur when using the D3D11 backend, but not OpenGL. Is it a Direct3D bug with Intel HD 615 graphics?

Did you change the savestate directory in dolphin? If not try it, either through settings, either in dolphin ini in Documents

I don't see a way to configure the savestate directory in Dolphin, via the application itself or in the Dolphin.ini file.
Savestates are going in the StateSaves folder in Documents\Dolphin Emulator regardless, and Dolphin accesses this Dolphin Emulator folder all the time.

The same crash occurs when using a fresh Dolphin.ini config and switching to the D3D11 backend instead of OpenGL.

I use dx11 with dolhpin without issues. Make sure you use ubershaders and try with these drivers.

Okay, so trying ubershaders (asynchronous) without pre-compiling, I was able to get into the MKWii menu, but it becomes incredibly slow. With pre-compiling, it crashes like before.

That's before downgrading the graphics drivers to the February 2018 release, which I'm downloading now.

Edit: So the Feb 2018 drivers do now allow Metroid Prime and Mario Kart Wii to be playable when using asynchronous ubershaders, but the performance is also quite poor compared to when playing with the latest drivers.
Further, when playing Captain Rainbow, the save menu is very slow on the old drivers, but fullspeed on the latest drivers.

I'm going to put this together in a bug report for Dolphin's issue tracker soon, as there might be some issue with Dolphin's D3D11 implementation when using the current Intel HD graphics drivers.

Are you aware of any other problem titles aside from Mario Kart Wii and Metroid Prime that I should check? I have a fairly sizeable collection.
I also have a ThinkPad X220 I can test with since that runs a core i7-2640m, which features Intel HD 3000 graphics.

I use those drivers and Play mario kart wii at 2x res with dx11 and ubershaders completely fullspeed (my current build is 5.0-8476 from some days ago). Metroid prime runs fine for me too. I made some videos and the phawx too so you can check them. I would Make sure your CPU and GPU are in performance mode, specially since you changed GPU drivers. I have tested all drivers in GPD WIN 2 and for my uses the february ones are the ones that goce me better result in the things I play. I don't think it's an issue with intel hd 615 because in mine runs perfectly fine, and many people from a spanish telegram group run it with dx11 without isssues too. I would try to delete your dolphin emulator folder in my documents and start from scratch, becuase as I say, no problems at all here. I always use ubershaders synchronous and compile at start up. I would also check with XTU that your device is using 7W as a mimimum fine and GPU ramps fine too. Some people have needed to disable DPTF in bios because they had performance issues.

Another option is to try an older Dolphin build (or Ishiiruka) and use ubershaders hybrid (as they were called back then). If you do that I suggest a fresh install though. At the moment the only issue that intel has with dolphin is with Vulkan, that doesn't work on any driver (on latest some emus lie rpcs3 or ppsspp have more issues too with vulkan)

I'm using, as Skelton, mednaden from Retroarch and it performs perfectly.
