RetroArch/Emulator Issue - GPD Win 2
« on: December 24, 2018, 07:32:57 am »
Anyone else not able to run ePSXe besides me? I mean the actual Emulator AND the Core for RetroArch(PCSX-Rearmed).
Emulator - Wont Load ANY Games, even though I have everything Set Up properly and have the BIOS.

RetroArch - Load a Game (Hydro Thunder). Select Thunder Park. At the Start of the Race, the Right half of the Screen is Green/Torn. Then when you get to the 1st Turn.....whole Screen get Jumbled, and the Game Freezes.
BIOS are Present as well.

The Beetle PSX HW Core seems to work perfectly though. Note - SKIP THE BIOS in the Options, or next time you run it, you get stuck with a Blank Screen.......possibly also to do with Cheats Auto Loaded at Start
Also, not sure, but do NOT Update the Dreamcast Cores as of today (23 Dec). You wont be able to load anything.

I use epsxe and runs ok. I prefer beetle psx hw Core though. PCSX Rearmed core should work quite well too.  For dreamcast, i only use demul or redream (the standalone). Both work good.

Not sure why, but I go to Load a Game in ePSXe, and it Quits on me.
Going to go back and forth between the Win 1/2 to figure out what is going on.

Off-Topic: Anyone have a breakdown procedure of the Win 2 to replace the DPad/Joysticks??????? Dont want to have to disassemble things I dont need to. Thinking I might need to replace the Thermal Paste at some point anyway, but if I dont need to yet, I wont.

Edit: Scratch that. PCSX-Rearmed does NOT work on the Win1 RA Core OR on my PC. So it is a Core Issue under RA.

Edit II: DAMN!!!!!! Running Beetle PSX HW on both Win Devices. Win 1-SLOW! Win 2-Perfect!!!!
ePSXe still does not work on the Win 2, even though everything is the same as on the Win 1. Dont understand it.

In the end, the Win 2 is MUCH better.

Which IS your plugins config for epsxe? Because epsxe runs without Issues. The same for pcsx under retroarch.

Ok. IS the latest versi?n. Make sure that CPU overclock IS selected to 1x. By default nothing IS selected (a bug of latest version). 1x must be selected or games won't run.
