GPD win not turning on when charger is plugged in??

I received my GPD Win today and the first thing I noticed was when I turn the device on when the charger is plugged in, it first shows the GPD logo, then a battery status, then it turns off.
I have to unplug it first in order to turn it on.

Same thing when its on charger and doing a restart.
After a important Windows update it was doing a restart, shows the GPD Win logo, the battery status, then turns off and does not turn on again.

Is this supposed to be like that?

If not I'd like to have this fixed with a firmware update.

Actually if you bought it on Dragonbox you better ask on that forum, or EvilDragon directly.

It cant be faulty if it works and charges fine othereise,so i think just maybe they might have wanted to prevent tge situation with the xd where turtning it off/on while charging would blow it up... !maybe they still use the same circuit design for charging?

I asked EvilDragon on the phone and he said it can be due to the charging mechanism.

Another thing I noticed:
My battery was at 68% after installing steam and a couple of games.
I turned off the device and put in the charger and tried turning it on again, the battery status appeared with 67%, then it turned off.
I turned it on again and suddenly the battery had 100%, even after booting up windows it showed a battery status of 100%.

odd ?
Its absolutely impossible that it charged that quickly.

I think the battery isn't well calibrated, I don't have this kind of issue at all on any windows 10 device .

Windows isn't very reliable when it comes to battery status. My Samsung Q1UP, Fujitsu U820, and OQO Model 02 all have issues properly displaying remaining battery life (well mostly time remaining), especially my U820, on Windows 7.
