GPD Win 2 Owner's : Do you have button issues?

Lets say you are playing a Super Mario game, and hold the run button as (B) and use the (A) buttons to do jumps, I have noticed that if you press these buttons BOTH at the same time while holding one other button and pressing another button... The button makes a cracking sound. The buttons will get stuck and make a crack/squeaking sound. They get locked up under the membrane. Maybe one of you owners can humor me and just pretend you are playing Mario and tell me if your A/B or X/Y buttons act like this? Or better yet you can fire up a Mario game and report your findings!

Can someone test their GPD Win 2 for me?  I want to buy another one... I just have owned 2 now and the first one had this button issue... I think the 2'nd one I owned was from someone trying to replace the dpad/buttons because of this button issue too. I am sick of buying them due to getting "Duds". The buttons on the GPD Win 1 do not have this issue at all... If your units have this issue too, I think I will NOT buy another GPD Win 2... PERIOD... Breaks my heart... I own X2 GPD Win 1 and X2 XD units too / NEVER ever had an issue.

I would appreciate this more than you know. I am sick of trying to get one that works right guys, These are so expensive.

I am interested in buying a LAST one. I just do not want to buy another 3'rd one and have this same issue that seems to be a bit common. Those damn GPD Win 2 ABXY buttons are not the same as the GPD Win 1, they are taller/thicker and they hit that cutout where the plastic shell is. The buttons stick out of that hole and rub along the edge... This is the sound I think I am hearing. All 2 units have done this... I am just curious if any of your units do this upon closer examination too? Please let me know guys.

Does anyone's GPD Win 2's buttons do this too when they use the buttons in a MARIO RUN/Holding and jump combo? Thank you.




*** UPDATE ***

MANY USERS SELLING THEIR UNITS ON EBAY "CONFIRM" THIS ISSUE IS COMMON!

GPD must fix this issue first. I am contacting them and maybe BATCH 4 will be the magic number? TO be honest I am done with them. The cost of this thing is a joke for the quality you get... I have been through 2 of these GPD Win 2 units... It has been a nightmare... They are rushing QC... Its a joke...

I have had many people report this button issue and for something that costs $700-900, this is a joke a sick joke...

Trust me, when you play Mario World or any game that require multiple gamepad buttons to be used/held... This device will eventually have it's buttons and or membrane break underneath the device... I can tell you this friend... NEVER TAKE IT APART. The plastic they used is so cheap it crumbles like cookies and the screw holes will be destroyed forcing you to never be able to reassemble the device again.


*** 2'nd UPDATE ***

It seems my second hand unit was taken apart in an attempt to fix the bad button issues that are common, that is why my unit was all messed up... The last guy tried to replace the ABXY buttons and DPAD just like I was going to! That is why he sold it... He realized that the stock GPD Win 2 buttons/DPAD is not proper and was rubbing against the side holes of the shell's cut-out holes... That is the grinding noise! I knew it!

I have no issues at all with buttons or anything. And spanish people that bought them from micomputer or got from igg work fine too. (We have a spanish Telegram Groupon And everyone IS Happy with his unit)

Skelton is someone I TRUST... I love your work btw man! Thanks for years of custom ROMS and great contributions! You are awesome!

So, I guess some units are fine in other regions? This sucks... Many people have the crunchy ABXY buttons man... Mine even has a mushy DPAD too... For $700-900 I expect better guys... I mean the JXD stuff back in the day was $100-200 MAX

Maybe It depends on the batch, or some units were faulty, that may happen too.

IDK man... I have given up... GPD does not understand my situation... I cannot send my unit for repair... The bank may need the unit as proof for my $660 chargeback... I am just SOL. It is fine... It is sad but I really prefer the feeling and screen of my JXD S7800B anyways... I never even use my GPD Win 1 units sadly... I just cannot enjoy them like the JXD 7" tablet game console. Maybe it is just because of my experiences with GPD...

Hell, my 2nd XD just died and getting a new battery did not kick life back into it... Must be a deeper issue internally... I am done with GPD guys. Sorry I just am. I hope you all enjoy your Win 2 units... I am just tapping out. I think I have the most fun on my JXD S7300B with SkelROM CFW... Thanks again Skelton!

Here is an update to the fucking mess I have been trying to remedy for 2 months now!!!!! FUCK GPD!

So I spent $150 buying parts from GPD to repair that Win2 I have...

FUCK GPD...

I asked them to TEST the LCD panel before they ship it! DID THEY?! NO! They just do not fucking care and cannot be bothered to help me?! The LCD has defective static pixel garbage all on the bottom inch pixel width of the LCD... Not only that but the GPD Win 2 unit I have has busted speakers now, super fucking cheap speakers... I I was right about the button issues too, I have newer GPD Win 2 buttons with my parts order and they are shorter and not as thick... GPD fucked up my unit from the factory, now they all seem fixed...

The LCD is not something you can take apart from the front face plate, the ribbon cable HAS to be installed inside that and looped into the main system... So when you buy an LCD you have to install this yourself and the ribbon cable breaks easily and once bent/broken will not work. The ribbon cable is also TAPED on the unit inside the LCD and when you remove the tape it DESTROYS THE ENTIRE pins/clamp connector making it useless... GPD did not do this on the prototypes... I saw videos and NO TAPE is used when seeing that teardown...

GPD sucks. I am selling all my GPD Win units. To hell with them. They could care less about you as a customer... They say they will check things for defects and LIE TO YOUR FUCKING FACE!

2 months I have been dealing with this damn GPD Win2 unit and they never once cared... I paid $150 for parts and they send shit parts! FUCK THEM TO HELL!

I am so livid... I am so angry... I have taken that GPD Win2 apart 39 times now... I know every nook and cranny... I just cannot fix SHIT quality and bad service! They just suck. My unit is full working now with GPD XD face buttons/3DS Dpad, stiff/hard conductive rubber pads... Feels great, PSV analog sticks are working, keyboard works, etc... BUT!!! DRUM ROLL!!!!!!!!!

THE FUCKING LCD THEY SENT IS DEFECTIVE GARBAGE THAT SHOULD NEVER HAVE LEFT THE FACTORY! They lied to me...

They really do not care guys... I mean they could care less... How hard is it to CHECK for this?!

They also said they would send me an extra ribbon cable to fix the screen their FUCKING TAPE destroyed! They post pics of the tape in the order before being put in the box and all that shit... Yet I check all over and the cables are NOT there, they are liars... We are just American pigs to them... They could care less about us!

I do not care if I have grammar errors, I am pissed and do not fucking care.
I am going to ruin this company... I will never cease in destroying all they work to create and sell for gains and profits!
