I didn't even think of that. Would explain why Rogue Squadron (I have the US version) runs fine but Mario terrible (I have the PAL version).

Struggling to locate a US version of Mario now though. Hoping that if I ever find one it will indeed run at 30fps (should do!).

Cheers

Well, if mario is running at 25 fps is ok. Not sure if the game as a 50hz/60hz selector.

@sunbear
You should also try the unofficial dolphin with directx 12
https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-unofficial-ishiiruka-dolphin-custom-version

The latest unofficial dolphin isn't the most stable, but one of the older ones is, so you can play around.

Since Intel HD's have a lot of vulkan troubles, the DirectX 12 from the ishiiruka is potentially the fastest option. It's what i use.
Name's Kiera. Feel free to check out some of my projects.

Thanks for that, I'll give it a go.

Got Windwaker running at a pretty stable 30fps over the weekend on the official Dolphin 5, but I'll download the unofficial one and give it a whiz

Cheers!

Yeah using Dolphin without Ishirukka with DX12 support is pointless the latest versions of Dolphin are focused on accuracy and are slow without a dedicated gpu. All the videos you see online running flawlessly are because of the Direct x12 support in unofficial builds.

This might sound silly, but if you click on the battery icon in the Taskbar, is the slider all the way to the left for Better Battery? It should be in the middle for far right to maximize performance. That will make a huge difference in performance. This was my issue for awhile.
