GPD Win 1 official Sunda batteries, UK eBay

There's a few around the 40 pound price point but this seller has them at ?35 and accepted my offer of ?32.50:

Seems like a decent deal, mine seems OK after unplugging it (was powering off at about 40%) but I got one anyway. I also have a Liter one I haven't used as I heard they aren't particularly good, anybody got any success with those? Would like to prolong the life of my Win as much as possible.

Also why can't this forum display the pound sign?

The Liter battery works but it doesn't hold as much mAh as the Sunda battery. But I think that the Sunda battery is overcharging and that's why they start to swell. Not just because of heat because mine almost never got hot but the battery did swell and needed to be replaced.

I don't want to pay that much money for a replacement battery that I do know is going to give me problems again so I replaced it with a Liter one as I don't need to push it to the max all the time. The estimated battery is off so it does power off when the battery is weak without a warning. I've tried to recalibrate it but that didn't make much difference.

Cool thanks, nice to know the Liter one works as I'd heard some posters (on Reddit - possibly not the most reliable source) say they weren't suitable.

My original one seems ok now and has no bulge at all but I want to have an official backup to keep the Win going as I love it and can't really justify the expense of the Win 2. I've had to disconnect it a couple of times over the last two years as the calibration drifts and it shuts off early - lost my save in Wonder Boy 3 because of this!

Did you mod yours to keep heat down? I always play with the fan on full and never charge while it's powered on but it still gets pretty hot. It's the later revision with the aluminium lid.

I didn't MOD it because I don't really see the reason for it to do it. I use it most for emulation not much for PC games. I also own a GPD Win 2 that I bought second hand for a reasonable price. That's also a reason why I don't bother to buy a new official battery for my GPD Win.

As long as it works with the Liter battery it's good for me. Maybe by the time I need a new battery something better that is compatible might be available.
