Faulty GPD WIN return procedure question?
« on: November 16, 2016, 02:48:37 pm »
Well I have received my GPD win on Saturday and I got to say I love it but it appears im having the dreaded GFX driver crash where any 3d game, Emulated or not, will crash and come back or crash completely. (been playing Portal 1 & 2 Enter the Matrix and path of neo, PSP, PSX, N64 emulator)  I will try to do the fixes (Window anniversary install, Reinstallation of Gfx drivers, setting changes etc..) but if I cannot resolve the issue I will have to send it in for replacement. Now I purchased my GPD WIN on ebay from a Person who wasn't going to use it and cant use indiegogo. I see people mention this Kendy person, so my question is, can Kendy help me and if he can what is kendy's email and how do I start the return procedure if Kendy cant help?

Also any tips or anything you might what me to try to fix the issue will be greatly appreciated!!!!

I wouldn't modify the system, I would restore it and tell paypal and ebay that you received a defective unit. Allow the original Ebay seller to deal with returning it. Kendy isn't going to be able to help you as you didn't buy it through them on IGG. Even if you did reach out, they would most likely say that its ebay and the seller's problem, not their's.

So file a complaint, explain what's going on to paypal, ebay and the seller and send it back. The seller can then go through Kendy or whoever they bought it from. But, I'm more inclined to believe they knew it was one of the defective units and sold it anyways.

You can of course try to reach out to Kendy through "the problem of your GPD" thread. But to be honest, I've seen her dodge people who had defective units that did buy from IGG. So you may not get a response, let alone a warm one.

Also, I have seen maybe one person at this point (Phawx) that can say they had a defective unit, fixed it with software and didn't see some kind of tradeoff in performance.
