Charging time
« on: April 13, 2017, 02:04:41 pm »
My device seems to be charging painfully slowly- it has only gone from 39% to 63% in around to hours!

I have the s5 charging driver etc all enabled in the BIOS and am using a good quality 2.5A charger-- the speed is equally slow with the default charger so the problem is not in the charger.

I also don't think there's much wrong on HW front or the battery because it charges all the way to 100% and doesn't deplete exceptionally fast.

Is the slow charging to be expected for this device? Could there be a setting somewhere that I might have missed because it sure as hell doesn't seem like it's drawing 2.5A

Around 4 hours is normal. I'm using the GPD Win charger because it's a good one. The voltage never drops below 5V when it's charging at 1.88A with the GPD Win charger. I've also tried a iPad and ASUS charger and they did drop the Voltage below 5V a bit when charging the GPD Win battery at 1.88A.
