Sadly, I didn't receive the new units and keymats yet.
I've ordered and paid them a week before GPD went off to new year holidays so they can ship them before... but apparently, they didn't bother with that.

So my units and silicon mats are still lying in China, waiting to be shipped once they return from holidays... geez.

Bought my gpd win from dragonbox.de last night, but I'm waiting for the tracking number. Hopefully I will get it very soon since I got express shipping (1 to 3 days).

edit: Forgot to mention I'm from the US.

It'll ship on Monday (UPS doesn't pick up on Saturday), so you'll receive the tracking number someday Monday afternoon.

I can send you a Rev 2, yes. Not sure whether it has the Z8750 installed, according to other posts here, it should, but as GPD never made an official announcement, you never know.

Got my GPD Win today. The console works, the buttons work and the Windows key works, so I'm happy with it. Bought it from Geekbuying on January 9, they shipped it on January 13 and it arrived to Argentina's customs on January 25.

Now, for anyone from Argentina thinking on buying this:
First, if you don't pay for a courier you'll have to pay the taxes (50% of the console price) and will have to get it from customs. Even if you pay for EMS delivery (I did), the "puerta a puerta" service doesn't include packages which cost more than U$D200. You'll get one telegram saying that it can be delivered to you, you'll complete all the paperwork from the AFIP website and you'll get a second telegram telling you that you have to go to customs.

At the end, the total cost was: 380 dollars for the console plus EMS shipping, 177 dollares in taxes, and 100 pesos to Correo Argentino.

If I had to buy it again I'd buy from Geekbuying with DHL shipping, of from EvilDragon with UPS. It costs more but in theory you get it delivered directly to you without paying anything else.

Is that accurate? I'm in the UK, and if parcels arrive with DHL or UPS you will ALWAYS have to pay import tax and handling fee according to people using those services. So they recommend to NOT use couriers. Try the standard shipping method and then it's just bad luck that they stop your parcel, and you'll have to pay hefty taxes and handling fee, or good luck that it arrives without any extra charge.

Yes, the same thing happens here in Spain. If you select UPS, DHL or similar couriers you'll pay import tax for sure. Standard shipping from China is really slow but if you're lucky you'll not pay any extra.

Cool, thanks for confirming guys. I got confused with the comment that it was a good idea to choose DHL or UPS for shipping. That was never the case as far as I knew...

Sorry, maybe I shouldn't have said that since I didn't use that method, I just mixed the costs of shipping and another experience buying from Amazon UK. I ordered something from amazon, payed only what Amazon said (which included the cost of shipping) and I didn't have to pay anything else, but maybe that's something only Amazon does.

Looks like the one you shipped to me is getting sent back to you for hazardous materials. I opened up a support ticket so I can deal with that on there, but I think people should know that might happen to anyone.

No, that's NOT normal. Of course it has hazardous material (batteries), that's why it's marked properly on the package and has all the needed papers included.
That's the first time that happens - and we've shipped a LOT of GPD Wins to USA already.

Maybe someone wasn't doing the job properly and was overcautious?

I already had it, since I have all the tracking details myself as well.

I'm trying to get this sorted out as fast as possible, hopefully the package will be back tomorrow so we can take care of reshipping it right away.

I'm sorry for the issue - I'll let you know what went wrong once I find out. I can imagine they changed some detail about shipping devices with batteries again.. they do that about once a year and you find that out when the package comes back to you.
