I can't talk about ordering a GPD WIN from ED, but I can talk about my Pandora. My Pandora was ordered from Craig, unfortunately, just like a lot of other peoples, but that order was not fulfilled. That's where ED came in, by just adding the difference between the pre-order and the retail price ED sent us a Pandora, at loss for him, through a part was covered by donations... Some years later, out of the guarantee period,  my daughter dropped my Pandora and a coil inside was broken, ED repaired it for free, and send it back without charging any shipping... That is how great he is...

Wow, thanks a lot for your trust and support :)
Always trying the best I can to help.

New GPD Win stock should arrive soon (I hope GPD can dispatch them this week).

I am currently trying to create a bootable Windows stick which I can use to test the 3D driver before shipping the units - so I want to make sure only working units will be shipped out :)

I'm evil.

Wow! What an excellent customer service story! :D EvilDragon definitely looks like the best and most reliable vendor for the GPD Win!

Nice! A bootable Windows stick would be an excellent way to ensure customers are getting good units. You guys really ARE awesome! :D

Do you ship to the US? If so, could you please provide me with an estimate to this zip code?

Thanks! :D

+1000 for ED.....

Great service to me here in California.

ED answered my questions quickly. Even if it was night time for him in Germany....don't think he sleeps.....much.

As promised, as soon as he got delivery of WINs, he shipped mine out and got it about 2 days later half way around the world.....

Nice!....

Wow, that's freakin incredible! ED is definitely the clear winner for where to purchase a GPD Win. :D I definitely plan on ordering mine through them when I finally get around to ordering one.

Thanks so much for sharing your story! :D

@EvilDragon

I see that you have a new shipment of GPD Wins that just came in. Have you been able to get that bootable Windows stick setup in order to test these new units?

Thanks!

I didn't get a new shipment yet - that email was sent out because someone cancelled his preorder and ONE unit became available (and it's gone already again ;))

But it shouldn't take too long hopefully until GPD sends me the next batch (I ordered 200 of them).

I will probably have some more inbetween, as I kept some units for possible replacements and I already replaced all broken units I know of, so these few will be ready for sale as soon as I tested them.

I'm still fighting a bit with the bootable stick, but I'll get it done eventually ;)

I pre-ordered my unit from ED one month before the actual release.

2 days before the actual shipping I noticed that I would not be home during the estimated arrival time of the unit.
Sent an email to ED to inform him about my new shipping address and received an answer within half an hour that my shipping address has been updated - that's how fast they are.

Due to me being impatient I also kept refreshing the order status on his tracking page. My order was sent out literally the same day as it arrived at ED's shop which resulted in me having it on the next day. No problems at all.

I also read a lot of good reviews and stories about amazing after sale support by ED which was one of the main decision factors for me to buy from them. Sure it may be a bit more expensive due to import taxes in the EU and Germany, but to be honest I will gladly pay an extra 20 bucks to save me from the headaches from customer support of the likes of geekbuying and others. We are talking about a relatively cheap chinese device after all which was bound to have problems.

My device luckily has been flawless so far even though it was part of the first batch. I even get higher benchmark scores then some of the other GPD Win owners on these forums.

Ah, gotcha! I was wondering why it said there was limited quantities! :D

Glad to hear that you're getting so many units in your next shipment. That should be good for everyone especially with Christmas coming up. :)

That's also nice to hear that you're keeping a few units to the side to use for replacements. Just another level of awesome customer service!

Thanks for taking the extra time to make the end users happy! It's definitely appreciated!

Thanks for sharing your story here too! I think it's important to see real world customer feedback whenever you're buying anything. Being that the GPD Win doesn't have the most reliable track record (at least with the early units), the place you buy it from becomes paramount. That being said, ED looks like they've got their customer's backs 100%! :D

Please, did somebody bought from this EBAY seller ? I bought from him last week, but he really do not communicate, or put any info if it was shipped yet. Just to hope he will really ship from France :(

If you can cancel, do it, and then order from Belchine, more reliable, shipping from Belgium.

I'm from France too and I received it after 3 days, colissimo with signature.

I'm a member of open-console and he is a reseller on this website too, you can try to follow the dedicated topic on it, we have another person on it that purchased it from him and that is in the same situation.

I really don't know, but the kind of thing remind me when you order from a company like DinoDirect, Willgo, Gearbest, Aliexpress and you try to have information or a good after sale service that you won't get from those company.

If you can cancel and get back your money, do it.

He might be sending you the console, but given the high percentage of defective units, I'd avoid buying directly from other users...

Thank you buddy, oh boy I should have bought from those Spain guys how I wanted originally :( though ebay would be safer and that he will have the items stock and will communicate.

oh well, I am unable to cancel the order, so wrote to Ebay my concerns to see if they can get reply from him.

We will see, if I will have any update I will post it here.

Thank you.

Just an advice, if you can get any reply from the shop you ordered it, just ask for refund and buy it from a shop that you trust.

To me Belchine is the best, and it's in Belgium.

More expensive but great homemade SAV is Dragonbox and MICROCOMPUTER es seems good too.

Had a very good experience with dragonbox.
Great support, very customer friendly, very quick shipping within germany. I got my replacement within a few days.
The owner is also active in forums such as openHandhelds.de or pyra-handheld.com.

Just a quick update:
I did manage to get a bootable USB stick... but as it was an old stick, it was slow as hell, and working with it often caused Windows to lock up because of USB3 driver errors.

So I figured out it's faster just using the normal GPD Win OS, installing FurBench for a 20min burn-in test and then reflash the full system (which is nice, as GPD also included other test-tools there, so I can test even more of the system :D)

2 out of 10 units had the 3D issue, so it's not as bad as many thought.
(This is from the first batch - GPD is testing all units from the next batch themselves!)

If anyone bought from me and has the 3D issue: I now have tested replacement units, so we can exchange them anytime.

And the next batch should hopefully arrive end of this or early next week :)
I'm evil.
