Awesome review, mate!!

Btw, would you like to sell me your Win 2 prototype? If yes, name your price and then we can meet up in the city or anywhere else that's convenient for you :)

I have a GDP Win arriving this week, and will purchase the Win 2 when I can buy it from a US retailer like Amazon or the like. Exciting days lay ahead!

Do you think they will make a Pocket 2 out of the innards of the Win 2?

No, I don't think so.
If anything, they'll make a Pocket 2 with heaps more power inside.

Funny thing, initially I was strongly convinced that I'm not going to buy GPD Win 2 ever (due to high price)... Eventually something convinced me to do it anyway. I've bought it with splitted payment in DragonBox (this time I will be calm about tech support if something will not work properly - fortunately so far everything is fine).

Price tag is wild though, have hope that in future GPD Win will have some competitors and with improving technology initial prices of such devices will start to decrease. But I wouldn't count on that earlier than in 4-5 years :P

No, because i see here locked threads, so this forum, which is main source of my info about this device is biased, i also completely lost faith in PhanX and his reviews, he maybe received some cherry picked manually tuned piece. Reviews before device is available for sell to anyone and preorders are bad thing for customer.

This forum was beging for donations, GPD probably sent some money.. and all is broken..

These are very grave accusations. If you want other reviews, you can always go to discord where there are many people with the device and sharing opinons, configs, etc. Device works ok, that some may come deffectve, of course, like any device. But telling that reviewers are paid or this forum is paid...

While it's not on topic, I'll bite.

You'll see locked threads where the OP has otherwise broken the forum rules while posting in a fit of anger.

If I had been totally biased I would have also deleted the threads don't you think?

You are completely welcome to PM the OP of those locked threads to get more information.

The forum is begging for donations because I'm one person, paying for the hosting and running of this forum 90% on my own since 2009. I'm also the only person developing/maintaining the forum, in my spare time, besides my full time job and my life.

There is a small voluntary moderation staff, but that and the occasional donation is the only help I get.

Before I added the -- easily dismissable, and once per session -- donation message, Dingoonity only received about $5/month through ads and the occasional donation. Dingoonity costs me $25/month to host. It's simple maths.

My moderation is uninfluenced by those who donate.
