XD+ with root
« on: January 03, 2018, 10:37:12 am »

I need the big dawgs to check this out, but it seems that magisk got installed ok and xd+ has systemless root.
I don't know the differences between systemless root and SuperSu and the compatibility with other aps, so I will let someone else explain why this is good or bad. But looks good i think hehe.  :)

systemless root is a bot more clean, so to speak, and since it dopesn't modify system partition, some apps that don't work with root may work using systemless root, generally using a magisk module or magisk setting like suhide. But essentially both methods are fine since they serve their purpose. Magisk also has a lot of modules that are interesting:

Here is a more deep explanation:

I only have a nougat device using system root though, but systemless should work the same.

If they fix screen refresh with latest patch and wifi, then we could finally have a 100 percent working one, and people can start to make custom roms if they want.
