Virtual mouse for GPD G7?
« on: April 20, 2014, 02:43:15 pm »
Hello, I have a second hand GPD G7 with a dead digitzer. I can get limited navigation through the dpad, and get get through the unlock screen with the select button, and use two of the face buttons as accept/decline. What I don't have is a virtual mouse or a home/menu button of any type. A virtual mouse like the Shield's that uses an analog to drag a cursor around the screen, would be amazing. I can't even get a Red Samurai controller to work over an OTG cable to use a virtual mouse that way.

Does anyone have any ideas of software solutions for these two issues? I imagine getting a replacement digitizer would be very difficult and I wouldn't have the expertise to install it.

I do really like the the GPD, I even like it's cheesy build quality in a toys R us kinda way.
Xperia Play, Nvidia Shield
Emulation should be free and open.

Well, you can set your stick/D-pad as virtual mouse with Tincore Keymapper, but... to do that, you need the touchscreen - at least, to launch TKM menu.

Coonect a mouseand set up tincore to use an analog as a mouse. It's the only way I think. Have you tried contacting gpd to see if they can send you a digitalizer?

It should be possible to start it just by using the dpad and buttons.
