Snex9x lag issues with XD Plus

When playing all three of the Donkey Kong Country's specifically, the SNEX9X emulator lags on the XD Plus. Does anyone know the best settings so this doesn't happen? I don't recall it lagging on the regular XD. Thanks in advance!

I recall reading about this via different forums & Discord community recently... are you using CleanROM custom firmware OR are you using stock firmware issued by GPD?
