Sharp X68000 emulator is great on GPDXD
« on: July 13, 2016, 01:39:02 pm »
I started looking this week to see if there was a Sharp X68000 emulator for Android and to my surprise I found one, a good one too.
Why does no one talk about this??

It took a while to find the correct bios to get games like Final Fight, Ghouls n ghosts and Strider working

Star Wars is excellent on the Sharp X68000, it's like the Atari arcade but with more to it.

Super Hang On and Newzealand Story are great too.

X68000 was a very expensive Japanese home computer that had pixel perfect arcade games, it never shipped outside of Japan.

I am interested to see what others think to this emulator and its games.

No one talks about it because no one knows about it?
Is there a link to the emulator to give a shot?

I used X68000 emu on Pc some time ago, but in the end most games that are playable for occidental users are ports from arcades or  games already emulated in other emus. Certainly a great computer, but In Europe and USA I suppose MSDOS and Amiga result more interesting for people.

Yes, why have a arcade perfect port on several discs when you can run MAME? your right. There's a few cool unique games on this system so far, glad to be able to experience it.

Thanks for this I'm looking forward to trying it.  I wasn't aware that a emu was released for Android, appreciated.

I'm triying to run X68000 emulator. When i click de icon of the app in my GPD, I just see a black screen and then, the app closes with no message and go to the android launcher again. Do I have to put the bios before running the emu at least to see any kind of menu? And wich one, where?

I tried and a i failed too. I use a GPD Q9PSV by the way not an XD, but it sthe same hardware as i know.
So installed the apk, made the file folder with the bios files (everything in the internal memory), after the launch it dropped out.
