Ok so the whole extracted folder needs to be moved to the GPD. Maybe the extraction method is no good. Can you reccomend any free extraction tools?

I don't know. You can try Winrar or 7-zip if your files are compressed.

.lz is also an archive file. Odd that wherever you downloaded from had an archive within an archive.

I personally use Winrar. Unpacks anything.

So I finnaly managed to load a game (round of applause) on epsxe. The new problem I have found is the controls not doing what they are supposed to do.
Is this is a common problem on some games or do I need to cofigure something? Seems to be mainly the shoulder buttons.

No problem here with epsxe, try to follow the video and see how it works for you:

I would say 60 percent of the buttons work just not the shoulder buttons. Can you actually map the keys with the stock mapper?

You don't need any mapper in ePSXe, just map buttons inside the emu like in the video and should work fine.

Unless you are more specific with the problem... Mapper is very easy, just place yoor buttons wherever you want in screen, press save/hide and ready to go.

Depends on the game, some games can be used natively with controls, others are touch screen only, so you need a mapper. No idea about that spiderman game.
