This won't work. Unless the fba romset is based on Mame 0.139 you will have zips with the same name in the Mame and fba set that include different dumps. If you merge the folders, you will either keep the Mame or the fba rom.

.37b5 is MAME4DROID and .139u1 is MAME4DROID Reloaded that came later. The difference, as you can see, is that Reloaded is based upon a 'more recent' MAME version and so, it supports more games. You don't need to keep both of them, keep the latest one and be happy ;)

Depends, Mame4Droid runs better on lower clockspeeds, because of its speedhacks that were removed later, so if you want to get the most battery life out of your GPD, e.g. while your travelling, Mame4Droid can be the better choice (besides the 0.34 romset isn't exactly huge).

I have both Mame versions (and both romsets), but find I play .37b5 more.  Because, well, I'm old.. those new-fangled games after '85 or so do nothing for me. And the romset is tiny.

Anyone know how to run mario kart gp , can't even get my rom to appear in MAME4DROID 0.139u1

It may not be available for the romset mame requires. 

On another note, They need to release a newer mame4droid that displays full screen.  fba4droid has great full screen display. Sometimes I load that up instead just to get a better experience.

You mean the 2005 Namco game? This isn't emulated in Mame 0.139 (and it won't run on the GPD XD anyway).

Has anyone tried to get Metal Slug 6 to run on MAME4Droid?  (Not the bootleg Metal slug 3) but the actual Metal Slug 6.

Metal slug 6 IS an atomiswave Game. Only demul for windows run atomiswave games properly.
