Hi ;D,
I just made a recent discovery, I found an app called KLWP, it giving you a lot of powerfull tools to create a dope live wallpaper and it can be associate to any (or most) launcher. Sadly it's not gamepad friendly but still cool nonetheless.
I made a quick video where I just made the bare mininum (because I don't have much time to devote on it) :
