Hello! on my GPD XD Plus there is a drawback: when you click on the Back button, it is pressed twice in 50% of cases! very often because of this accidentally close the application and enjoy very uncomfortable ((( Is there an easy way how to fix this?

Is this a firmware problem or an electronic fault ?

@PsyOps @Skelton Any suggestions on this? It is very annoying and interferes with the use. as you can see, the problem is not with me alone, it is massive

When I had my proto I never had that issue. But mine was a proto and I don't have it anymore, maybe retails are different. also, I am not coding for xd plus. Maybe it's related with rk29-keypad.kl or kcm files, because back button is outside joystick driver. some launchers also provoke that behaviour. The besti thing is to provide a log to black-seraph or me (and I can send to GPD) to look into that, but I cannot do more than that, because I don't have gpd androids anymore and I don't code. I made some suggestions to GPD for screen refresh rate and other issues, but they never answered me....

I've had that same problem from day one, with the stock rom, S8LightRom and now CleanRom. The back and menu buttons are both pretty much useless because they refuse to be pushed only once. I thought for sure I had a broken one, so seeing all of the others here with the same problem is actually kind of a relief in a sense.
As a side note, I also had the NVRAM 0X10 error for weeks after upgrading to CleanRom and finally just got that cleared up today. If someone could fix the back/menu buttons problem (and maybe somehow bring back the compatibility with the Magisk module to increase the number of steps on the volume sliders, for some reason that disappeared when I upgraded to CleanRom) it'll all be golden.
Just thought I'd chime in to help legitimize the problem, thanks so much to everyone here for all of the help and info thus far.

When is this going to be fixed ?, Im sick of it.
GPD should give us all a refund as its defective.
What if I put a 10uf electrolytic capacitor across the back button, this might work like a schmit inverter, registering one press.

Thoughts ?

Users: update your stock, GPD issued firmware to CLEANROM via the following website:

On this blog, the dev of CleanROM has files ready to download. The back-button issue I believe is non-existent depending on the version type of CleanROM installed, etc.

Why can't GPD fix this problem and bring out an update.
Then the device can be updated in settings or doesn't the XD+ have a update option ?

GPD probably want to abandon the XD+ so they can 100% concentrate on Windows devices

This. Xd Plus haven't recieved any love by GPD, and it's not certainly their priority.

they have released a 1.12 firmware but I don't think they fixed anything. https://www.gpd.hk/gpdxdplusfirmware

Did firmware 0621 fix the problem ?
Why isn't anyone saying anything ??
