GPD XD Motherboard's name

Hello everyone, as title of the post, I would like to know the name for the motherboard of the GPD XD.
My issue is a dark line in the screen if i open it more than 135 degree and the screen start to freeze. I red somewhere this is caused by the ribbon cable which connect the LCD to the motherboard. I searched in everywhere to find some spare parts and buy the ribbon (winding displacement), but i did not find anything. So if i know what the motherboard model is, i can buy a ribbon cable which connect that one (motherboard) to an LCD.
Is the ribbon cable we are speaking about for the GPD XD the same that is used for the NINTENDO DS?

The XD uses a custom ribbon cable, you can't use a different one.

What is so special/custom about the cable and why is it not possible to use a different ribbon cable with the same specs?

I would like to know that aswell. I always thought that GPD used pieces of hardware that already existed. What about this specific cable that they used only with this device, the plus already uses another one.

The ribbon cables themselves are normal 2 row 31 pin ffc ribbon cables.
The thing they made be made to normal standards but its their shape, these cables are manufactured specifically for GPD.


In theory a generic 2 row 31 pin cable with the same ends would work but getting the cable through the hinge and folding it for those 45 and 90 degree turns would be very very hard.
I looked into generic replacements for the XD for a while for long term support but doing that would be a last resort thing when GPD ones are no longer available.

Well, that seems to be the case..
I'm searching for a replacement cable for weeks now. Everywhere it is sold out and by my knowledge it won't be produced anymore.

I talked with the CEO of GPD and they are now doing a production run of XD cables and once that's done myself and all the other distributors should be able to get them and continue to provide long term support of the XD.

Asides from us distributors being able to purchase stock again they also listed the ribbon cable on their aliexpress store now as well.
