Don't be hehe.

Download and install Rom Manager from the market.
Don't worry about all the options it offers. All you need to do is tap on "Backup Current Rom".
Give it a name you will remember " MyMainBackUp" or something.
Once you enter name it will boot into recovery by itself and start backing up.
Once it is done it will ask you to fix boot, just select no.
It will boot into system.

You are now backed up - It will backup to your gpd memory by default.

To see your backup and put it on your pc, Rom Manager has a cool feature.
Tap on "Manage and Restore Backups".
Tap on "Download Backups".
Now on your pc (must be on same network - if you connect to the internet the same way with pc and gpd you are good) open a browser ( Internet explorer, chrome, firefox .... ) and in the address bar put the address it shows on gpd.
And easy peasy booyah. =) , download the backup to pc.
Once you are done you can go back to the backup list on your gpd and delete it if you like.

If you want to use your card instead of using internal memory to save your backup, go into settings ( upper right side - 3 vertical dots ) and tap on "settings". Then turn on " Use External Storage" - make sure its on. Make sure your card is formatted in FAT32 if you do.

Play with it if you like you wont break anything. If you want to restore a backup just go to "Manage and Restore Backups" and tap on the backup you want to restore. Then tap "Restore".

If you have the backup on your pc, first put it into your card in one of the 2 directories:
/mnt/shell/emulated/clockworkmod/backup       or
/mnt/external_sd/clockworkmod/backup

The main reason for using this recovery is it's ability to restore EVERYTHING. You will restore your backup and it will be in the exact state as you left it in.

It is pretty easy. Let me know how it works for you.

Before I try that, I have another question.

I've had no problems moving downloaded games off my PC into the XD. However, when I try and move games into folders for instance (for example, I made a Snes games folder), it just deletes the games and they don't get copied.

Explain a little more.
You put games from pc to your card or inside gpd? Then you try to move them from where to where, using pc or using ESFileExplorer inside gpd or something?

Sorry.

I move games from my pc to within the GPD (the first SD card option, like your video showed) Usually in download folder, but I would like to make things a bit more organized.

However, when I try to move the file from within the download folder into another sub-folder in there, it seems to just delete the file instead of actually transferring it like I want. This is via PC.

Ah. well my folder structure for my card (external_sd) is something like:
cloworkmod/
...................backup/
Games/
...................NES/
...................SNES/
...................N64/
...................PSP/

and I have some more folders for like:
Themes/
Downloads/

Then I just point my emulators to those folders.
If you can't sort them out using your pc, move them into a folder then maybe try moving the files inside your gpd with ESFileExplorer or something.
If you don't have esfile explorer yet, use this version its the best free one:

Hmmm...

I'm clicking backup current Rom, but nothing is happening? It's not rebooting.

Hmm...I'd say 30-40ish in total? I've only had it a week so far.

I gave Rom Manager a try, but Backup Current Rom does not work for me. It doesn't reboot or anything.

I think maybe it doesnt know you have a CWM installed. I'm looking over options now. I may have dones something different, dunno.

Just to recap, you have Legacy Rom installed, and you installed CWM through flashify yes?

ok try this.
Tap on "Recovery Setup"
Tap on "CockWorkMod Recovery"
Tap on "Device Not Listed Above"
Tap on "Yes"  ( Have you installed a CWM based recovery )
Tap on "ClockworkMod 2.x"
Tap on "OK".

Then try to backup again. That should do it I think.

There are two options. I did the first and it did not work.

Edit: tried both and neither seemed to work. It just does nothing.

2 options where? You set the cwm version used and then you tried to backup again?

When I click on Recovery Setup:

There is either Install or Update Recovery

Or

Recovery already Installed.

I tried both ClockworkMod Recovery options and neither have managed to fix it.
