My device is being strange, sometimes it doesn't boot, retroarch just hangs, bunch of other things...
I don't know if I need to root it, or if it's already rooted. The system upgrade function does nothing.
I downloaded 3.4.6 English firmware update. I installed the drivers on my windows 7. I attach the XD via usb, open the RKPatch program and there are no devices to install the .img file to.
I can open the Android Tool and it says 1 ADB device found, I go to upgrade, load the image, and it says "Match device type failed, stop running"
So I'm kind of stuck here. I have read threads but there doesn't seem to be anything that addresses this issue specifically. Do I need to root this thing? Am I better off running a custom ROM? Is there a better or easier way to upgrade it?
I put the .img on the SD card but it doesn't do anything when it boots. I tried power, home, volume+ trying to get into a recovery but nothing ever happens?
I'd appreciate any help. I love the device, just have some little niggling problems with it I hope a firmware update might improve things.
