GPD Q9 Analogue stick weirdness
« on: February 15, 2017, 11:40:16 pm »
Hi all,

This might sound ridiculous, and it might be a quick fix, I dunno. I have a Q9 with Legacyrom 2.0. Everything is fine, except my left analogue stick is... backwards. If you press left, it moves up. Press right, it moves down. Press up, it moves left and press down, and it moves right.

I've tried setting the gamepad app to PS3 or Xbox, tried clearing all the on-screen controls, deactivated the mapper, all that. It just does it all the time, even on the main home screen.

Everything else, as I say, is fine. D-pad works fine, right analogue stick and all the buttons. My left stick is just mapped wrong.

Have I done something dumb somewhere?

Did you install the right LegacyROM version? There is a regular and PSV version. The PSV version is for the Q9 with the PS Vita style sticks while the regular one has flat PSP style nubs.

If reinstalling does not help, probably its missoldered. Then you are able i believe to redefine the axis in a text file, but i always forget which. But at leas even if its a hardware issue as long as consistent it should be painless to fix/work around permaenently.
