in all honesty I am not at all concerned with the devices name...nor the aesthetics.
For me, the look, feel and name of the console isn't an issue.

This thing is going to disappear into my entertainment center so I don't really care how it looks or what kind of plastic it uses as long as it isn't absurdly out of place (if they make it bright pink I might have a problem...)
True, once it's out of the box and hooked up you won't be paying much attention to the console itself, it'll just be a lump of plastic sitting next to your TV doing cool stuff. But keep in mind we are informed consumers, familiar with GPD and what they're making. I was trying to consider how GPD would reach the uninformed consumer, make their device stand out from the crowds of other Android TV gameboxes listed on Aliexpress etc. I'm sure many consumers' eyes glaze over at the thought of comparing spec sheets of competing products, a unique name and a cute mascot can go a long way for making an impression on the average consumer's mind.
