GPD G7/G5A Dolphin Emulator
« on: March 23, 2014, 07:19:04 pm »
Has anyone tried the Dolphin Emulator on the GPD G7 or the GPD G5A?

I know it will probably not work very well ( I assume it does not have OpengGL ES 3).
Just interested if anyone has tried.

forgive it.

until Tegra 5 may be we get some functional emulator.

I tested in a octa-core device, and i get 1-2 fps...

Thank you Deen0X for the response.
I was just wondering if anyone had even got it to run at all.
Although I agree that it will probably not even be able to run.

Well, actually the "official" version on Google Play is quite outdated... That doesn't mean that the emulator now is in a "playable" state but it's improved a lot in the latest development builds ( https://dl.dolphin-emu.org/builds/ ).

Around how many years from now will it be until a <$200 Android handheld can emulate GCN at around ~30FPS?

At the current rate of development, I'd guess around 2 or 3 years for half speed/some games playable. I could be thinking a little too optimistically though  :P.
Ordered one of those fancy GPD G58 devices. Review soon.
