GPD-G7A GPD-G5A GPD-7 kernel and kitkat source

Hello,

I succesfully sd booting (u-boot),rooting and try different firmware on GPD-G7A, GPD-G5A and GPD-7  devices.

But I would like to go further and create my own firmware and kernel.
Unfurtunatily I do not have the source code.
A seearch all over the internet give no answer.

I would appreciate if some one  can point me in the right direction or.

The kernel of g5a and G7 are in my github: (I always put the source in my roms thread unless I forgot it)

I don't have it for g7a, should be very similar to g7 but some drivers could be different, but no idea how different they are because I never could test a g7a.

This one is for generic RK3188 tablets, which I used to make the other two, you can see it as a reference:

I tried the kernel from the GPD G7 1.5 Legacy rom on the GPD G7A with Stock Rom 4.4.4, as expected this did not work.
The device start to loading the kernel but no kernel picture shown on screen, instead it shows a black screen.
I also tried the kernel from GPD G5A 2.0 Legacy rom on the GPD G7A with Stock Rom 4.4.4, the same failure.

The GPD G7A has a RK3188t cpu and the GPD G5A has this cpu also, I thought it could work perhaps .
(Never disambed the board and look at cpu to be sure.Is this info correct?)

Can one retrive info about drivers from a running Android system to know whats different and needed, or is this obvious when start to make a kernel.

The fact that they share SoC, doesn't mean kernel is compatible with all RK3188-T models.  There are many things that can be different, PMIC controllers, power, battery, wifi , sound driver... The only thing to figure out for g7a is make a debug runing demesg and see what drivers and modules load at init, and trial and error, because without specific kernel code for g7a it's difficult. If you have a g5a or g7 then the ones from my github should be compatible.
You can try contact GPD and see if they can provide you kernel for g7a, it's a discontinued device so perhaps they don?t mind to share.

Hey can anyone upload a GPD G7A custom compiled rom with the RK3188-T overclock kernel set to 1.6 or 1.8ghz? OR explain how I can do it with Skelton's source files for his G7 build files?
