I can't confirm whether it was loose. I was going by what my wife said (she was the one who handled it when it was delivered while I was at work.)

I am going to try the Linux method here: http://boards.dingoonity.org/gpd-devices/issue-with-upgrading-g5a-firmware-solved-with-linux/. If that works I'm just going swap analog sticks (since I won't use the right stick as much) and request a new one be sent out. Otherwise, I'll just get it replaced. I'll be working on that when I get home from work today.

Handhelds: 3DS XL, GBA SP, PSP, GP2X Wiz, JXD 7100B, JXD100, Various other handhelds that include emulators and built-in games (their generic names escape me at this moment but some are actually cool.)
Tablets: Nook HD+, Entourage Edge
Consoles: XBOX 360, XBOX original, PS3, Wii, N64, 3DO, GameCube.

Both joysticks have problems (one sticks.) One thing I noticed on it when I first got it was part of the paint was scraped off on the back on the unit. I wonder if it was dropped at the factory.

Anyways, I hope Geekbuying can get this replaced quickly (Eric said they would.) I am really anxious to play with a working version.

Well, I got it booting and upgraded now. I just asked to see if they'll send me new analog nubs. I would rather just fix it than get it replaced. One is broken (a piece broken off on the part the connects inside) and the other kinda works but sticks when moved around (doesn't always snap back.)
