It's like they looked into my subconscious mind and designed a product that I couldn't possibly resist.

Certainly it looks nice, if battery time is nice I can consider it as a companion to my s5110B.

I'm really excited about this device.  Specs look really good.  I'm glad someone is finally going away from the psp/vita shape.  This one looks like it will be really comfortable for extended play & with a planed 4000mAh battery it should have good life.

Since this is listed as a G5A I wonder if that means they'll plan on a B model with different specs?

Skelton, is this one you'd plan on getting and making a custom rom for?

I think the B model could be the normal gpd g5 model:

Not sure though.

Just wondering, have there been any new updates or progress on this device or has it fell off the map?

The last info I have from GPD is that it should be ready for the end of November if there are no delays.

End of November, that's good news.  Hopefully there will not be any delays.  I'm ready for this device to hit the market since its one of the very few 5 inch quad core devices coming out that has a nice shape also

I'd love to believe this was coming soon, but if they're still only releasing renders it's unlikely this is going to be available this year.

It's got potential. I hope the final product will have concave analog sticks, and a grippy surface would be even better. I also hope they stick with the usual ABXY LR button labels instead of 1234 56.

I'm a bit concerned about the placement of the speakers. I would think the bottom of my hand would cover them the way I tend to grip joypads of that shape.

Do the analog sticks have buttons?(Ie:L3 and R3  buttons) If so it would be an ultimate PS1 emulation device
