« on: May 05, 2014, 11:20:45 am »
Does anybody got hands on G58 already. I'm curious if it gets RK3188 or RK3188T.

It's RK3188T. so, 1,4 ghz though possibly overclockable to 1,6 ghz like it happens with g5a or g7.

Thank for your answer. Also, I wanna ask what's the default clock on GPU?

That depends on the kernel, but that I don't know for sure without seeing kernel source. I suppose 446 with possibility of max 600 mhz. The low resolution makes that device does not need much overclock anyway, like it happens with G5a

I maybe get one soon, so I'll let you know, -but if they are similar to 5110B nubs, are just so-so. Very much PSP-like.

Wifi signal is better than S601, the transmission rate reflect it, speed is almost the same to mainstream tablet phone(S601 is terribly slow before).

I have just bought a G7 but I am very interested in the review for the G58. I suppose I am sick  :-[

Anyway, nobody talks about the Q88 and it could be a good device for the price. Cheap as hell and the design is very slick (it is a pity the RAM and the battery). Any reviews coming???

I ordered G58 yesterday from geekbuying. I hope that I'll get my hands on it next week so I can share some opinions about it here.

Now I'm checking little.

1) left analog stick is move up and lock
2)All thing similer with s5110b
3)Wifi is good to grave.
4)Battery life not tested.
5)SoC speed 1.6Ghz and antutu score is about 20000
6)screen is TN
7)Can USB chrging.

So , I think Mali GPU is slow , want OC:)
I reary waiting CFW.

Any reviews yet? I think JFKs post if the closest thing to a review yet lol. The left analog stick seems to have issue but if it isn't too bad I'll get it.

Mali400 is slow, it's two years old xD. Even at a speed of 600 mhz or so it's not briliant. Don't expect more in a RK3188-T device, ultra performance is not the purpose of this thing. If performance is similar to g5a, should be more than enough for most users anyway.

GPD 58 is RK3188.
1.wifi signal is better than the S601, but only in the transmission rate, speed of mobile phone and the mainstream flat-panel signal under the condition of good close (S601 was the strange slow).

If anyone's interested, Skelton has posted a first impressions review of the GPD-G58. Makes me want to buy it all the more lol. Anyone have experience with flat analogs? On the GPD-G58 its like the PSP analogs which isn't so bad really. The Shield has flat analogs and while they're obviously more like 3DS XL than PSP style they are still great.
