Getting started after flashing Cleanrom
« on: September 20, 2018, 12:41:31 am »
I was wondering what the best emulators were for the system, I see so many on the play store but is a third party one better? Also I dislike the few I have tried and as yet don't have a PS1 or Mega Drive emulator as they are paid ones (not looking to pirate just trying to go free if possible)

Ideally one that allows cheat codes, and realtivly simple to use.

Oh and quick non game related question is there a way to get a virtual mouse as im trying not to touch the screen unless I have to.

Ha, well I don't have the time or patience to grind in rpgs these days and they are my main games I wouldn't use them for platformers or fighting games.

This is a good starting point:

As is this:

In terms of free emulators, my goto is RetroArch. I use it pretty much exclusively, including for PS1 and Mega Drive. Couple it with a nice front-end like Dig, and for my money it's an unbeatable combo for the GPD XD. The only non-RetroArch emulator I use with any frequency is ScummVM.

Some more links for you:

RetroArch: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.retroarch
Dig front-end: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.digdroid.alman.dig

edit: I should mention that I'm not a fan of the default system icons that comes with Dig, so I replaced them with ones I like more. Box art is also replaceable.

Retroarch support downloadable cheat function on most of retro systems. epsxe and ppsspp also have similar function.

Various emulators by Robert Broglia all have built in cheat function but have to create and adding the code manually.

This should getting you start somewhere. Use google for more info.

Sorry for late reply, was a bit swamped at time and only recently started getting back into using the console.

Tried Retroarch and all seems good, not as fond of the interface but thats what I get for freeware, thanks.
