G7 bricked after Firmware installation.
« on: March 08, 2014, 02:29:08 am »
So, I tried to install the latest GPD firmware. It went through the update process and went to a black screen and never came back. The stupid thing is bricked.

This has happened to several people, as I can see in the comments. How did you guys resolve the problem? What can I do?

My computer recognized it as an Unknown Device and Rockchip Batch Tool didn't recognize it at all. I have a windows computer. Again, what can I do?

Scratch all this, I fixed it.

The problem is that RKBatch runs a hell of a lot worse on Windows 7 than it does on XP. I ran it on my XP computer and that literally fixed everything. An important thing to note.

RkBatch tool runs without problems in win7. I use it in an win 7 x64. They are only problematic under win 8.

I should clarify. The program itself ran fine. It just didn't recognize my device under 7

I suppose your drivers were not properly installed. Because I flash and use my devices under win 7.
