G5A white screen

I just got a G5A and right out of the box it only displays a white screen. The box it shipped is pretty beat up but the device looks perfect and all the buttons feel fine. Does anyone have any ideas of what might be wrong and if there's any way I could fix it myself without sending it back?

Probably, screen's cable has come off?

Try force shutting it off (holding the power button until it dies) and rebooting to see if that works.
If the force shut off doesn't work, set it on a desk for awhile and literally wait until the battery dies. Charge and check. If it still doesn't boot properly to the OS and such, that's when I'd send it back
