::embarrassed:: noob mistake
« on: October 18, 2015, 08:48:57 am »
clicked update the firmware when it asked me, problem was it was still transferring, now stuck at GPD logo, can I get a little help.. tried Googling already.. and have since transfered the file over at least using my phone as the card reader.. is my best option to now try and get it happening via the Rockchip batch tool or does somebody have a better (easier) option for me to try?

You will have to use the RK Batch Tool, which is most recommended to flash a firmware anyway, better than the microSd method.

trying the Rockchip batch Tool, except that as I'm stuck on GPD logo power -vol doesn't seem to do anything, the only other thing I see apart from a black screen is the charging battery logo.. I think I just might indeed be stuck.. any ideas are welcome folks..

With your GPd powered off, just keep pressed volume + while you connect it to PC, and RKBatchTool should detect your device.

Also, make sure you have installed rockchip drivers.

I gave up on it for a bit, played some Heroes And Generals and tried again, thanks, it seams to be working, looks like it wiped everything and my Micro SD card but everything is replaceable..

now I get to start fresh :-D

I really like this little thing, even contemplating selling my own:
GCW Zero, Pandora 1ghz, Pandora "classic", modded PSP, Game Park Blu

Don't really need to, just think the GPD XD is a neat little device and apart from occasionally missing the ability to type as well as on my Pandora I think it could fairly easily replace the need for the others, at least for me, still tempted by the Pyra at the moment though.. No way I'd get away with buying one unless I culled some others though.. 4 and a half month old baby in our household
