Has anyone found a way yet of making HALauncher not lag when chosing a background image? No matter what I do it becomes really slow and unresponsive if I chose a background other that anything blank.

Hi kristianity77 , on my GPD XD i've no laggy problem with background .

what the size of your background image

( 1280x 720 is the better resolution for GPD XD )

I've tried any size of background, whether it be something really low resolution or higher. I notice someone else in the thread had issue with the same thing. Not sure what it can be

Great tutorial! Thank you!

I have one question, though: I set up some SNES shortcuts and they work great. But since I selected "Always" when I was asked what program to open with, now every single game defaults to open with SNES emulator. I want to play some Final Burn games and set up shortcuts for that, but everything tries to open with SNES.

When I go in to edit the Arcade Shortcut, there's a list of programs there but FBA does not show up in that list. I am totally confused and don't know how to get my arcade ROMS to open with FBA.

Could you lend some advice?

Ok, an update: now I realize that it won't show me any apps that are marked as "handheld" in this list. What.

So confused....why does it mark certain apps this way?

Hi, DirtyPillow Actually i've the same problem to launch games directly with aFBA and Retoarch it doesn't work

the command line on the shortcut is not good

the broglia's emu launch directly the rom file
in case of retroarch you must launch the emu + the core

If someone good on android can explain us how to launch with a shortcut " rom with emu+core" ?

HALauncher has been updated and fixed. Tried it and it's working great.

Also: Does anyone know what I should enter as the component (In the HALauncher shortcut) for fba4doid 1.74?

Cody huge thanks for supplying these icons - I just got my GPD XD and I've been trying to set up HAL the same as yours. Can you share, how do you make shortcuts to specific games? I'm trying to make shortcuts to Dreamcast CDI images and even though I have CDI associated with Reicast it just won't work. Thanks again!

are you saying that halauncher won't be ideal if all you use is retroarch, as there's no way to automatically launch different emulator cores + game straight from the home screen shortcut?

Hi Chimera, to launch ? dreamcast game you must declare the type mime of file "application/cdi" on the shortcut creation

Can't seem to get this working either with GDI or CDI files - it looks like Reicast opens but doesn't do anything. Here's a screenshot of my shortcut setup

Your emu work correctly when you launch without shotcut a game ? have you configured the bios ?
