Best emulators for GPD 5a
« on: February 21, 2014, 04:19:15 pm »
Hi,

New to the boards, and to Android devices in general  - have just bought a G5A, so looking for recommendations as to the best emulators (and other software) to install - I'm familiar with Retroarch on the PC, is that a good start on Android?  Or would other specific emulators be more optimised?

I use Retroarch for almost everything, except a few systems that I prefer running a different emu like:

mame 0.139: For modern mame games.

PPSSPP: PSP emulator

Mupen64Ae+: For nintendo 64

Reicast: For Dreamcast

Drastic: for nintendo DS.

For PSX the PCSX Rearmed core from retroarch is fine, though ePSXe is a very good alternative too.

I use exactly the same setup as Skel. Works like a dream.

Thanks for the answers - I had a few issues w/ Retroarch, but seem to have got it largely working now.  Seems to forget my key mappings on occassions though.  Will keep plugging away.
