« on: December 02, 2015, 08:42:08 am »
Are there any good Jaguar and Lynx emulators that work well on the XD?

? That's a Saturn emulator.  I'd be interested in a jaguar emu as well if there is one

Hehe, you're right!  :P
I did not check the link yet, but after checking I can confirm it's a Saturn emulator indeed.

There is one called aLynx, https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rock88dev.alynx

But I have to be honest it's not very good, very choppy frame rates and it chops off the bottom of the screen at least on my GPD XD anyway.

Use Retroarch, the emulation is fine. The emulator needs the bios called lynxboot.img if you don't use the default folder for bios files, you can specify another folder via settings where you have located the file.

Retroarch also has a Jaguar emulation (Virtual Jaguar), but I never got it work, but I guess the GPD is way to slow for Jaguar emulation anyway, as Virtual Jaguar needs a very fast CPU on its x86 build.

I doubt it. Since is based on virtual jaguar that requires a good pc. I think there is no arm dynarec so difficult that way.

Theres a "virtual Jaguar" android app,  which runs games better than retroarch. Last updated late february.  The games it runs,  work much better than on retroarch. you can play rayman perfect etc,  and the sound doesnt skip.
Hopefully it is further updated to run the games that it doesnt.

How good does Tempest 2000 run on IrataJaguar? It's a paid App, if it runs fullspeed on 1800 MHz, I would give it a try, but when I look at the requirements, I have doubts.
