3 questions on new q9 psv model
« on: October 22, 2015, 07:06:55 am »
I'm excited to get my new gaming device.  If anyone has knowledge to share, I'd appreciate it.

1. How can I check my firmware and what is the latest?

2. I read the screen is at 60.8 hertz.  What kind of problems will this cause?  Will there be a update to resolve the issue.

3. Do sega CD games work through broglia's MD.emu emulaters?

Thanks in advance

To see what is your firmware version: It is in  "setting"---"advanced setting"--"about tablet"--"build number"

if the screen is less than 60 hertz, playing games will not very fluently. But Q9 is at more than 60, as you test, 60.8hertz, i believe no issue will be caused~~ ;)

I would not. I don't care for the built in launcher, but other than that the firmware is excellent in my opinion. I have had only one issue and that was with the launcher. I switched to APEX launcher from the Google play store. Otherwise, its a very fast and stable firmware. Moral of this story, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Your retired by your own admission are you not? Should I be telling him to wait for your new rom? I have already given you an extreme amount of credit for your hard work and consider you the reason why we have stable roms in the first place. You are a confusing person Skelton.

I think you misunderstood me. I was just agreeing with you. The firmware is almost perfect, so no need to update in my opinion. That simply goes for stock firmware or my Legacy.

The kitkat SDK for RK3288 is not being updated anymore, so most probably we don't need to change until Rockchip SDK update to Marshmallow, because RK is stopping SDK for Lollipop too.
