I personally added some I/O schedulers and additional governors, but I didn't notice much difference, so I finally didn't include it in kernel. But I only played emulators, so perhaps is only noticeable in other scenarios.

Even with sio? Sio used to make I/O faster than the regular ones.

Yep, deadline is the one that perform best for me. But as I say, I only used g7 to play emus, so perhaps SIO works better in other scenarios.

Welp, I received a g7a with 4.4.2, I think it will took some time now.

Also, g7a can charge using usb port.

Mmmm, kernel won't work without some modifications for sure. If it has usb charging probably is a jetta board instead of a TB. Try to contact GPD to see if they can share g7a kernel. I will try too.

For the CWM, I use the one included in arctools.apk, that you can find in arctablet. Basically install that app and you can download and flash CWM using the app (you can select the manuPC one or the Oma one, both work).

There's something different inside g7a, because when I tried to download a recovery, it says something related to "unable to write on temp directory". I can't figure out where's the temp directory, I thought it was /data/tmp but maybe there's another issue.

Sounds like a firmware issue. But I don't know how the firmware of g7a is in comparison to g7.

Yeah also I don't know how the g7 is, maybe the partition table is different. I think I'll wait if gpd can help.

Update:

Wow is 4.4.4
Wow 2: Now supports sdxc 128Gb. FAT32 (yet), but in near future I can make support the awesome f2fs. :)

Some people have been asking me to update ROM to Android 4.4.4, so I answer here to all.

there won't be more updates by me for g7 because I don't have a g7 anymore, so unless someone want to test something on blind, no updates, sorry. There is a stock Android 4.4.4 for both g7 and those with G7A models, so if someone wants android 4.4.4, stock firm is the only way to go

Are you using windows 7? Because windows 7 and a USB 2.0 port is a must.

Also, try with these autoinstall drivers:

sorry to be a pain but do you have a list of the best or highly recommended emulator apps to use? find it hard to get some of them to work
