Hey Skelton, before I reflash my g5a with your new kitkat 1.5, I was wondering...  In the original g5a kitkat rom there was a bug that the game "Dead Trigger 2" wouldn't work.  Does this update help with this bug or is it still not working?   Either way I'll probably update since I don't play DT2 much, but it is a great dual-analog game so I'd like the ability to play it every so often.

Last time I tried Dead Trigger 2 it worked even with the previous rom, but to be honest I have not tried that game for a long time. Perhaps someone has tried it and can answer to that.

Being a complete beginner would people suggest installing this or does the stock firmware do the job.

the mapper has two modes for right analog, one of them is to control the camera in case that this game doesn't have native controls.

With tincore and mode M you can map the game natively as if it were a moga gamepad.

So, try with one of the two and should be fine.

Edit: I just tested and working fine here with mc4

Skelton has praise in different countries and different languages around the world for his awesome Roms. However, as a complete beginner you should take your time to enjoy the device and become acquainted with flashing ROMs before you get your hands dirty.

Try the stock firmware, but just for a couple of days. Skelton's legacy roms are superb. The best performance you could get from these handhelds. Also the system consumes just the minimum of ram and cpu. There won't be these happy chicks fully loaded with outdated and pirated emulators. In my opinion Legacy roms are great, and Skelton  provides a step-by-step installation guide. You can't go wrong if you follow his instructions.

I can allready tell there is alot of excess "stuff" on the stock firm ware. I tried to download this firmware last night but could not extract batch tools for some reason. I am running windows 8 could this be the problem?

One question, this parameter code is valid for make this rom with 6gb for apps?

CMDLINE:console=ttyFIQ0 androidboot.console=ttyFIQ0 init=/init initrd=0x62000000,0x00800000 mtdparts=rk29xxnand:[email protected](misc),[email protected](kernel),[email protected](boot),[email protected](recovery),[email protected](backup),[email protected](cache),[email protected](userdata),[email protected](metadata),[email protected](kpanic),[email protected](system),[email protected](user)

Take from here:

Yes, that parameter should work, just remember to reflash with restore option.

Hi Skelton, i'm trying the new rom and so far everything is working perfectly (the usual Legacy Roms High Standard). I've noticed that you included the stock mapper back. Is it possible that when i click at the gamepad icon this will activate the tincore keymapper, and not the stock mapper? Thanks!

If I do that stock mapper is lost. If you don't want stock mapper, perhaps it's good idea to come back to 1.1 ROM

I'm happy that the stock mapper is back because I find the tincore very... complex ^^"

Try putting a file called android_audio.mp3 or bootaudio.mp3 in system/media with 644 permissions and see if it works. Not sure though, I have never been interested too much in these kind of things.

I see. Just another question, if you don't mind: At the description you said "Mali, HDMI, wifi new drivers". Are these the same drivers included in 1.1 kitkat version or are they newer?

They are newer, though I personally haven't noticed any difference, because device worked alright before too
