I've installed this ROM for my Q9 yesterday.
Nothing bad so far, only shows cpu about 1,8Ghz in cpu-z.
N64 emulator works fine without any mapping requirements.

the CPU will depend on the version you flashed.

For Q9PSV there are versions at 1,6 max and 1,8 max.

For standard I only made a 1,6 version, (nobody asked me another one)

retroarch is really popular here and covers practically every system. i"m a fan of robert brogia's emu's myself. you can find all of them on the google play store. Start with a search for snes9x EX+ if you want Robert's emus. Then just follow his releases.

Thanks, finally found the option right at the top. I must have looked in the storage setting over a dozen times and just now noticed it.

I am thinking about making a little update of the rom, but not sure if it's worth it or if people is interested. Before saying anything else, it would be a minor update with better google play apps compatibilty (spoofing nexus device). Some minor changes in launcher and some minor tewaks but nothing extraordinary. I would also include the PS3/XBOX modes that include latest stock firmware and the GPD XD. Also, since the 3 GB of data partition is perhaps a bit low, I am thinking in increasing to about 6 GB or so. (that implies fresh install for sure)
Of course it would be a debloated ROM with no happy chick crap or preinstalled stuff. Something very AOSP and rooted, like current LegacyROM.

I am saying this because I am under some health issues and medical treatment for a while and personally my time is very limited for this stuff, so If people is interested I can try to finish it this week, but if not, I just save my time. Let me know your thoughts. Also, I am gifting my q9 to charity very quickly so it's now or never.....

Unfortunately GPD has not considered sending me a Q9PSV device, so I don't know if this new version would be available for q9PSV users.

First let me say that i'm sorry to hear about your health issues and wish you speedy recovery.
While i'm not currently using a custom rom on my q9, I plan to do so soon as I do want a stripped down cleaner rom than what i'm currently using. That being said, I have a psv and if that's not supported then don't worry about it. Either way your work is and has always been appreciated. Get well soon :)

Skelton, I don't have that device, so it doesn't matter to me.  I just wanted to say that I hope your treatment goes well and that you get well soon.  Even though I have never met you, I feel like you have been a friend to many of us on these forums.  I have learned an incredible amount from your willingness to answer my stupid questions!  Get well soon Skelton!

That would be pretty great, Skelton.
Would you be able to add the ability to change the tiles in the Quick Settings Dropdown menu? I don't use the Profile Switch, Mobile Networks, and Location tiles obviously so it would be nice to remove them and move them around.
That's a cosmetic thing and the ROM is pretty perfect as is.

LegacyROM has been the most stable ROM on any device I've ever used. Custom or official.

Have to say Skelton I've been using this Rom since day 1 on the Q9PSV and its not even given me a single issue.  Not one crash, nothing at all.  This is coming up now to 3 or 4 months as well so its very stable.

The only issue and I know its one that cannot be changed by yourself is the Refresh rate of the screen.  Its a shame its not 60hz but 60.8 which is a minor issue for emus such as EPSXE, but its not so bad!

SetCPU Profiles doesn't work on this device annoyingly but I suppose also that is an issue with SetCPU.

Anyway, hope your health recovers!

Thanks for your comments about my health. I have heard from GPD dev that they are expecting to release Android 6.0 for XD and q9 for april/May so I will probably wait the update until that, because it can be huge update.

That would be great. Hopefully that would fix the Play Store Error 18 some people have gotten with apps like Mame4Droid. I spent all of yesterday trying to get Goat Simulator working but apparently it doesn't like KitKat and spits out a "Cannot install to USB/SDCARD" error.

For mame4droid I think there was a trick unmounting internal_SD, installing the app and then mounting it again. Or perhaps there is renament file in the asec folder, so perhaps deleting it can do the trick. Just a guess.

Can anyone make a rom with more internal storage for the Q9PSV? I need 7-8GB internal and the remaining ca be the "nand flash" But better would everything for internal (if it possible).

You can use rk3xxx firmware tools. You can extract firmware with it and use the parameter tool to change partitions size. Them repack firmware and it's ready to flash it.
