GL Tools is great, for instance Sonic Allstars Racing transformed don?t look good when installed on the GPD. But forcing 4xAA and trick the game to Think it is an Adreno 320 GPU the game looks as good as on my Note 3.

Cool thanks, it looks and runs really well on my Tegra phone but had glitchy graphics on my S7300, was still pretty playable though.

That's why If there is any glitches we maybe able to use GLTools for Graiphics

Anyone else having trouble booting into recovery?

I get the green light as though it is powering on, then a minute or two later, still holding the + key the light goes off and it never boots into recovery.

To boot device to recovery (stock or cwm), boot with start, power and volume +  at the same time, or just run reboot recovery command from adb or terminal.

I am absolutely baffled. Following the directions in the original post I can't get any screen to show up even though the green light comes on if my USB is plugged in. It may be of note that I don't get the battery page from plugging in my USB but do when using the power plug. I have also tried quick boot.

The closest I have gotten is a pink square in the Batch Tool, but that is just booting into the Andoid OS.

Update: got this working by reinstalling the Rockchip driver with the exe included in the RAR. No idea what Windows had installed, but whatever it was wrong. LOL

You spoke about recovery, and batch tool to install a firmware is another thing. Recovery is one thing, and putting device to download mode (to flash a firmware) is another thing.

Just open batch tool, connect through usb and boot with power and Volume + until you see the green box in batch tool. If you see in pink just press switch button until it turns green. Make sure you have installed drivers if batchtool ask you for drivers (they are included in the firmware).

good morning

i?m from germany and last week i bought a g7 at the cebit fair in hannover at the gpd booth. but my g7 has a big problem, it has a 2,5cm stripe on left side from up to down which is not reacting on any of my touch inputs(dead zone) . i think the digitizer is defect but i dont know which digitizer it is to fix the problem the display is crd070tn01-40nm02. so could anyone please help me and tell me which digitizer it is or another solution to fix the dead zone problem maybe screen calibration tools or another driver for the digitizer or something like that.

thanks for your help

Ask for a refund, that's a hardware problem, not software.

Just had a quick question? Was wondering if there were any video playback problems with this ROM as I own a jxd s7800b and no matter what ROM I use on it the video playback stutters. I love the 7800b for gaming but am really thinking of switching to the gpd g7 as long as I will be able to watch movies on the go. Thanks in advance for the advice guys

I have watched several .mkv movies and have also been using Netflix with no such stuttering.

Although just wondering has anyone had a pair of headphones sound echoed on this device?
One of my pairs of headphones sounds great but the other pair sounds like a far away echo.
