I dint update to the latest stock rom, i just played it on the stock rom that came with the device and it was fine, how do i send you a logcat? i havent done that before.

I wanted to know if there is  any way to implement changing color correction like samsung devices do ie change contrast brightness or RBG.

About how to logcat:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1726238

But I am afraid that could be mali related, because old stock firmwares used different mali libs. Maybe you can try using merket helper to spoof device to another device (nexus for instance), and re-download, to discard if it's a problem with S3 sppofing.

About screen parameters, unless there is an app to do it.... Maybe something like this? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.symbster.rgbpicker&hl=es

Via kernel only max brightness is controlled. For me screen is fine, I don't see color or contrast problems in it. (It's not an IPS, so it has the quality expected in a standard tft panel)

Iv installed it, i have 2 issues

conduit HD loads very slowly only upto the main menu then doesnt work. its free on the app store.

FIXED: use button sequence to open tincore.
when I click tincore keymapper it auto pauses the game (deus ex) i cannot see where to layout the controls. anyway to bypass this?

excellent performance so far with the oc kernel.
rom is fast and smooth.

There is a profile ready for you to use in the central server.

Okay, I hope you can follow me on this one:

I was originally using 1.1.8

My favorite emulator (no knocks from Retroarch fans) is ePSXe. Which worked flawlessly, albeit with a couple of minor speed troubles here and there due to the slower processor speed. Whatever the GPD team did to introduce some or your improvements, they've done it pretty well. Joysticks read perfectly "out of the box."

The LegacyROM is giving me joystick trouble with ePSXe - I've set it up correctly, but whenever I move either joystick, the program starts registering rapid false presses of the 'L2' button. It's constant after you move a joystick, nothing if you don't. You wouldn't notice it if you are playing a game that doesn't use the shoulder buttons, as the joysticks still function perfectly - but a game that uses shoulder buttons has trouble. In Blasto, which uses L2 and R2 as a ?side step' move, as soon as you touch a joystick, the character sidesteps left until he falls off of whatever platform he's standing on...

Tried Fpse, which seemed to not have trouble, but looked like hell - I think it may be having trouble with the new RC Mali graphics, so I didn't investigate too hard... :)

Double-checked my settings and button assignments - all was correct. Went back to 1.1.8 for the moment, and, once again, my settings seem to be fine.

Don't know if it's them or the LegacyROM, but wanted to point it out. Speed was awesome!

I'll gladly reinstall and try anything you would like, answer any questions, etc.

Seems a bug of epsxe and the new driver. I have been using lots of emus and when moving joystick I don't get l2 false presses, not in fpse or Retroarch or Android games.

FPSe works fine, just tested with ape escape. No problem with l2 and joystick, (ape escape use l2 for first person view) so I assume it's a bug with epsxe and the new driver, because in all other emus work like a charm.

Which graphical issues did you have with fpse? Works fine for me, not graphical problems so far, at least eith game I have tried. Maybe you tried some opengl mode? Because some games look awful in opengl modes (very glitchy, but that depends on the emu and the game).

That happens with the stock not with my driver. I could not even reasign buttons on epsxe because of that continuous click.

When you say stock, which driver are you referring to? Is there a stock driver on the LegacyROM? That's the only place I have the trouble. If i'm using the wrong driver, let me know what to switch to.

I may have been using openGL - I clicked some options rather blindly after loading it up, I wasn't being very scientific by that point. :)

That issue was detected on stock driver and stock kernel. it is also possible that the problem is with the emulator. I've seen they updated something relative to L2/R2.

Joystick driver on Legacy Rom is working fine on our test devices.

Poop. Is there some way that I could have the stock driver still in effect after installing the LegacyROM? After all, I moved back to 1.1.8, which I assume is stock, and everything is fine, including ePSXe. The choosable drivers while I was on LegacyROM were labeled Tincore - and I had the trouble. I can re-install and try again, if you'd like.

You can try again if you want to recheck but, in any case, if stock is working better for you for whatever reason I suggest that you use it.

Too many issues with gpu drivers, even Rouge beyond the shadow, stops loadings textures if you reload the game and continue, at some points it will start to stutter badly. Gta san andreas does not work for me anymore either... still i like this rom better than stock for emulators.

@nielo360 are they paid for games or downloaded .apk's.. don't take that the wrong way but.. it could be a factor

yes i understand:) all the games apps i use are paid version (except some roms), its actually started loading after I cleared cache for gta san andreas.

conduit HD it took about 28mins to get ingame, its extremely slow, a possible driver issue.

Rouge beyond the shadows is a free game, I tried many ways to get this working however as soon as you load a save game the textures are all missing (this one i have not tested on stock so if someone is on stock they can try)

PPSSPP is running god of war very well after setting cpu to 1.6, its quiet playable now.

Edit: tried device spoofer to Galaxy Nexus it dint have any effect, no big deal, most of the other apps iv tried work, I will test magic rampage and hero siege now.

The problem with GPU drivers is that it's something I cannot develop about it, because they are close-source precompiled libraries. The new ones can have issues with some games, but the old ones had issues with another games (like gt racing 2 or wild blood). So there is no perfect combination, it mostly depend on the games you wanna play.

Kitkat use different mali libs too, so perhaps you can try Kitkat to see if these games work better for you. I will make a kitkat rom for g7 too, but not soon, because I need to compile a working kernel for kitkat yet. In kitkat mali libs result can be different, for instance, dead trigger 2 is unplayable, but jet set radio is playable, which is not in 4.2.2.

I suppose game developers will update their games to fix the issues, since I have seen some exynos users to report some issues in some games too with new mali drivers.

For God of war, there is an option within the emu that improve experience with that game, which is setting CPU to 60 in the emu options.

I've read (probably, from Skelton here) that Chainfire 3D is causing a soft-brick on devices with Android 4.x because it doesn't support anything newer than Gingerbread. Look at Archos GamePad 2 thread, I guess one guy is already complaining.

Don't use Chainfire3d or you?ll soft brick device. Chainfire is no longer working in JB. In ICS was just partially working.

There is a new app quite similar to chainfire3d called GLTools, but I personally haven't tried by myself.
