If that recovery works in stock, should work on legacy too I guess, because partitions are the same.

By the way, since I see most people flash stock firmwares. maybe it's a good idea that I don't update or make more LegacyRoms. If people prefer stock firmwares just let me know and I stop development, because it is too much time consuming to me.

Please do not stop making firmware it is your fixes that are driving this device forward and the stock firmwares are getting better because of this. Your experience is much needed.
I only use stock at the moment because i love to learn how to make them fit my purpose by tinkering and editing. ;D

I don't know about other people but I don't touch a firmware unless it's from one of you CFW devs. So please don't stop releasing those custom roms skelton, you work is very much appreciated!

One of the first things I do when I am buying a device is check if someone has made a custom rom to install.
Please keep making the Rom.

So please understand, it's 4 roms to maintain, and the fact that I am not getting almost any feedback on them makes me think people are not so interested in firmwares, or system is just good as it is. So, less work for me I guess.

I understand that this is a lot of work and I appreciate it. Another reason why you do not get feedback is that people like me are still waiting for the devices...

I will definitely install and use your custom rom without looking at the stock rom...

Nooooooooo! I can't speak for everyone else but your firmware was one of the main reasons I bought a G5A. I flashed Legacy at the first opportunity and have been happy with it since then, it works perfectly and I would hate to go back to stock, your's is miles better!

Read the thread title ruffnuts!  ;D

I've had a quick look and there doesn't seem to be much of a reason to update so I'm leaving it, the 4.2.2 JB is spot on for me.

I'm still waiting on my g5a.  It has been about 12 days since I ordered it.  I started with the s5110 but wasn't very happy with it.  The Skelrom helped a lot, but it was still a pretty limited device.  When the s5110b was released, I decided not to order one until a Skelrom was released.  Once I saw skeleton was developing cfws for the g5a I decided to buy one as well.  For the s5110b the xsample skelrom made a HUGE difference!   I plan on installing the custom fw as soon as I get my g5a.  I think most people on this forum appreciate skeleton's expertise but if he wants to stop developing cfw or take a break we should respect that.

question (curious)

why if you are in Kitkat, you prefer to back to JB?

i?m now in kitkat, and i don?t see nothing strange to make me back to previous version.

(it?s only curiosity)

I didn't update it from Legacy 4.2.2, I looked at the Legacy 4.4.2 firmware and didn't really see the need to change anything. I don't find anything wrong with the 4.2.2 Legacy rom really, it's got everything I need.

You would need to unroot it first and then reroot device. But kinguser works better than SuperSU in kitkat, and it's the only one that allow CIFS working in kitkat.

Wish i had known about CIFS before i had  installed CWM then unrooted and flashed supersu.
Also on a side note CWM did not complain about fixing root when Kinguser root was installed. :-[

I had a spurious reboot in them middle of playing Lunar on epsxe.

I'm running Legacy 1.1 with the 1.6 OC kernel.   Is there a way to tell why it rebooted (Overclocking too much or ?)

Thanks!

Difficult to know. Only happens with that game and that emu? You can try standard kernel without overclock, perhaps your device is not so overclocking friendly.

Probably, but not inmediate plans. Only thing I need to include is a new kernel to avoid screen flickering after a full charge in kitkat. But apart from that, g5a is working great with the current firmwares, so not a priority. (most people even use the JB firmware or stock, so I assume updatea are not very important)

Of course if Rockchip updates their sdk or system stuff I will update too.
