I don't know if it would be possible, but is there any way to bring a mono audio option to the firmware? I've seen that only in Sammy and Apple devices, and being deaf from one ear, it would be a great addition! Thanks for all your hard work anyway, you're a life saver, no kidding!

Isnt the option in accesibility settings?

I will see if there is an option to use mono instead of stereo. Not sure if it's possible, but I'll take a look,

Wifi is fine for me. In fact it is better than in my computer. Wifi is the same in all firmwares anyway.

Some android devices have issues with some routers. You can try changing the wifi channel in router or the encryption method to see if it improves. Or maybe antenna is bad mounted, though I would try the router way before opening the device.

So to confirm, the kitkat version of Legacy includes an overclocked kernel, but not the JB version? Is there a reason for this?

Both versions have the OC kernel. But the OC kernel for JB was released after the release of the rom.

Ah, cool, thanks. I'll have to install it when I get home. Loving the rom! (and the device).

Eddy - I don't know whereabouts you are in the world - but Radio Shack used to sell an adapter that you plugged headphones into first that stepped down stereo audio to mono. A little old-school, and An extra little plug to carry with your earbuds, but  functional... :)

Not sure if this is ROM related or not, but has anyone had any issues with their Tincore profiles vanishing?

I had a bunch configured/saved for various games. Last night I went to play some games, launched Tincore and discovered all the profiles I created were no longer in the profile dropdown (all the default ones are there, but none of mine).

Has anyone else experienced this?

@Tincore, where on the device are the profiles stored? Is it possible the profiles are still there but just not being loaded-in by the keymapper?

Thanks!

ps. I unfortunately have absolutely no idea what sequence of events led to this. Nothing strange happened that I'm aware of...

Depending on the device this profiles were created this is possible.

On supported devices like the GPD I use a standardized format that can be shared. if profiles were created on a non supported device some codes would not match so you will be missing some buttons or sticks. When profiles fully "dissapear" is because they would make the mapper crash.

They are stored in the data folder for the app. If you have any of those send them to me so I can be sure about what is happening.

They were all created on the G5A by me... never imported/exported between devices. The profiles are 100% missing from the profile dropdown, not sure whether they're still in the data directory or not.

I don't think an update to the Tincore Keymapper app happened either, so I really have no idea what triggered it.

Something else I've noticed (seemingly unrelated, but maybe not). I've also noticed that I'm having the problem where homescreen icons are disappearing. My understanding is that this is a result of the external sd card not getting mounted in time (I have my storage preferences set to use my external SD as my main storage.) Is it at all possible that Tincore Keymapper could be looking for profiles in the wrong place due to slow external SD mounting? (I'm probably grasping at straws, but I'm at a loss... monday my profiles were there, I powered off my console when I went to bed. Tuesday night I powered it back on, no profiles found.)

The icons missing at home screen at the bottom row is a bug of default stock launcher. Use another launcher like Apex, Nova or the one you prefer and it's solved.

About the profiles missing, perhaps something corrupted your data, but difficult to know. Never happened to me. There are many games with a profile uploaded to the server, so start the game and let Tincore to download the profile. If the game does not have a profile in server, once you create it, you can upload to server (share profile option), so that in case something goes wrong you can always recover it directly from server. There is also an option to export a profile, if you have plenty of them it's good idea to export them too. I have never needed to import them again, but it's a way to have another backup.

I let the keymapper download a bunch of them from the server, but then decided to tweak them a bit, so I then modified them and saved my tweaked versions locally. So, for some games like Nova 3, I actually had a "server" variation of the profile, plus my own customized version, and they're all gone, both the auto-downloaded server versions and my tweaked versions. Anyways, not a big deal to re-create them (I can do it quite quickly), I'm just trying to figure out what happened.

And, I'll definitely implement your backup suggestions. I don't have my g5a with me, so I can't check, but I'm assuming "export" is simply one of the profile menu options?

Export will copy them to another folder on the SD. Also if you click on any of the files with a file browser they should be imported again.

Is the mapper moved to SD?
